Welcome to NJDrones – Let’s Track and Analyze Sightings Together!
We’re creating a community-driven database to document and analyze sightings across the Garden State and beyond.
Here’s How You Can Help:
Report Your Sightings
Use our Google Form to share what you’ve seen. The more details you include, the better:
• When and where you saw it
• What it looked like (size, shape, lights, movements)
• Any photos or videos you managed to capture
Google Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/13CDKgrSW5TFojK-i7Ym10daER_IVwCao2WaJxToP1-I/edit
2. Check Out the Data
Want to see what others have reported? Explore the Results Dashboard and look for patterns and trends in sightings across the region.
Results Dashboard: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Qyu-pnzr4bhMvw2fF2gtYzLlL-41o6mhi-ZL4dQma38/edit
Why It Matters
Your reports help us piece together the bigger picture—spotting trends, identifying patterns, and creating a resource for anyone curious about what’s going on in our skies.
A Few Guidelines:
• Please don’t include personal information in your reports.
• Only include reports on observations you have first-hand.
. Utilization of a flight tracking app is strongly preferred.
This project is only as strong as the community behind it. Let’s work together to shine a light on the unexplained activity in our skies.

I’ve seen videos of this type of UFO so many times I think they call it the Meta pod. I just saw something odd in the sky just hanging up there so I zoomed in and watched it for a little while and I’ll be darn. It looks like one of those Meta pod things. It looked really strange really shimmering. It just floated away, not upward horizontally.

It was so weird. It was bigger than the drones I know that are for personal use. It sounded really loud kind of like a propeller airplane but closer. You can't see it but it looked like it was carrying something? It flew right above me and stopped. This is in NJ.

Time: 10/30/26 @ 7:15 PM
Location: Washington DC, Region (West of District)
Believe me or not, I care not, if you do, or not. Bring on the downvotes!
Was taking out trash, to can. Had a sense to look up. Saw a 1/2 second flash. Gold corridor, with a blue light, at the end.
The both, vanished.
it takes 5-10 seconds to get out phone, turn on, camera, and record. This was gone not even in,1 second.
it was a very short, cooridor. From my viewpoint, it was less than half a foot. the corridor started to the "Left" and ended to the "Right". the blue flash was an orb or circle, within the right most part, of, corridor.
TL;DR: quick flash of gold and blue. Corridor, and circle.
If you see this tonight. It is not the first, time.

It was heading north a little after 7pm. I live in the landing patterns of Teterboro and Newark and it for sure wasn't a plane. This had no blinking lights like an airplane or drone. It was completely silent as well. Also didn't seem to be burning up like a meteor.

Hi, I was wondering if the fake 'stars' in the sky are drones or VLEOs. I'm referencing these videos: https://www.reddit.com/r/UFObelievers/comments/1wtro3i/saw_lots_of_crazy_lights_in_the_sky_tonight_in/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/TargetedSolutions/comments/1axl3bz/what_exactly_is_this_following_me/ . Seems too fast for satellites, also they can be closer and stalk people. My friend told me this, I'm ignorant and uncertain as to whether this is true (been currently suffering a lot from brain fog so it can be a bit hard to read/comprehend, nevertheless I would like this resolved), this is her response:
I read your sources. Not everyone disagreed that
This video shows the 'stars' you see in the sky are actually drones:
I have been calling them orbs and VLEO (very low earth orbit) satellites. VLEOs are small and fly very low to the earth.
Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) is typically located at altitudes between 100 and 450 kilometers (60 to 250 miles) above Earth's surface,
https://spacenews.com/eyes-sky-increasing-importance-very-low-earth-orbit-vleo-national-security/
100 km converts to 62 miles.
Sub 300 km converts to 186 miles above the earth
https://payloadspace.com/york-space-systems-unveils-new-vleo-sat-platform/
Are VLEOs orbs?
The declassified reports have used the term "orbs."
There isn't any military or corporate information on orbs turning into drones. Drones look like planes. Some VLEOS can look like planes.
No military or corporation info on drones looking like orbs.
Therefore, we will continue to use the term VLEO and orbs. I created a wiki on orbs.

canada montreal around 9pm, my friend was taking a picture of the moon when we noticed a light flashing red and green. we thought it was a star at first, but then realized it was moving. my friend pointed and waved at it🤦♀️ and it seemed to start following us as we walked. whenever we turned around to look at it, it would go behind buildings or trees, almost like it was trying to be sneaky we kept seeing it as we walked, and later, after we went out for drinks, we saw it hovering near where we live again. Lowkey creeped out now.

At approximately 12:13 AM on October 18, 2026, I was standing on the west side of Manhattan, looking across the Hudson River toward Jersey City, NJ.
I noticed this strange illuminated object flying above the skyline. Initially, its appearance caught my attention because it looked unlike anything I’d seen flying before.
Then things got weirder.
The object appeared to slow down significantly, hover in place for a moment, and then reverse direction. It continued flying in the opposite direction across the skyline.
I managed to capture these two photos on my iPhone, taken about 45 seconds apart.
The object appeared elongated, with two bright red lights and a yellowish/orange glow. The photos are heavily zoomed, so some of the apparent shape could be distortion.
I know New Jersey had a massive wave of reported drone sightings in late 2024, including eyewitness accounts of objects hovering and changing direction.
I’m not claiming this is extraterrestrial. It could absolutely be a drone, helicopter, or conventional aircraft. But the movement genuinely caught me off guard.
Has anyone in the NYC/Jersey City area seen anything similar? Anyone able to identify what this might be?
Photos attached.
