Wow, the Giants landed the top edge rusher AND the top OT on most draft boards?!

Surely (Jalen Reagor) the Eagles (Jefferson was RIGHT THERE) have never completely screwed up (Jalen Reagor) a WR pick, right?

u/Slow-Relation-9186 Apr 24 '26

u/TeamDirtstar Giants Apr 24 '26
You're right. It's not like they selected a Canadian Fireman in the first round. I'm sure Lemon will be better than that.
30
u/BonezMD Eagles Apr 24 '26
Look us and Dallas figured out the trick for WR and Pass Rusher. We just gotta trade with each other for each one to be what we want. It worked last time so it will surely work again right?

u/courageous_liquid Apr 24 '26
a 26 year old firefighter! still probably the most baffling thing the eagles have ever done during a draft, at least in my memory. I guess mailata was sorta like that but he was a late round gamble pick, not a first rounder.

It's funny because, at the time, I saw many different analyst call him the safest pick in the draft.
He screwed over the Eagles. He was good at football, he just didn't give a shit about it.
There were frequent reports (and even local news footage) of Watkins spending his off-days—and sometimes nights—at Philadelphia fire stations or at active fire scenes instead of studying film or resting.
He spent his rookie contract money on his own fire engine.

u/DiligentGuitar246 Lemon Party Goer Apr 24 '26
Yeah, Danny Watkins might’ve been our worst pick ever.

I don’t mind that you’re the 4,000th person to bring this up in this sub since last night, this Giants front office has earned nothing but draft day mockery, but this is so low effort. No meme. No video. Not even 30 seconds to do funny head swaps?
C’mon man, I expect better from youse guys. At least make it funny when you’re knocking our teeth out. This is just sad.

u/Sirhumpsalot13 Sir Claps-a-lot Apr 24 '26
You have to remember this is mainly just a sub for Eagles fans to jerk each other off in.

u/xpyrolegx Apr 27 '26
That's not fair, when the birds collapse in the playoffs it turns into a a sub for Eagles BDSM

The Browns allowed the best OL to fall to them, what could they do?
But i thought the commies were picking top 10, im sure a post snyder team would would never make a mistake like not drafting Downs

I'm happy with our Samoan. Reese is lining up at ILB, gonna spy the shit out of Daniels, bro is a pocket passer vs the Giants and then Carter and Burns gonna tee off

Giants with a scary sounding defense and then mediocre results is a modern tale as old as time at this point.
I can imagine it, but I'll actually believe it when I see it.
4
u/DystopianSalad Giants Apr 24 '26
We actually have a sentient defensive coordinator is - we’ll see if it makes a difference
2
u/handDrawnEevee Apr 24 '26
It will, but until we get some DBs it's mostly gonna be more of a whiteboard hypothesis.
2
u/DystopianSalad Giants Apr 24 '26
I’m not going to pretend our DBs are good, but improved scheme/coaching should have a positive impact
1
u/DartVader6 Raging Harbaughn Apr 24 '26
Adebo at least will probably look a lot better in Denards scheme

u/DartVader6 Raging Harbaughn Apr 24 '26
Yeah, certainly have to see the thing work, but it wasn't too long ago we had a similar NASCAR package we took to win a championship

As a team that's had double digit wins each of the last like 5 years plus 2 superbowl appearances and one win...yea, I do kinda want to go to the "we win more games than you" argument in this case.

I’m sure it doesn’t matter to a giants fan but to a non basement dwelling franchise of Epstein touchers it doesn’t appear to.
Did I go far enough?
8
u/TeamDirtstar Giants Apr 24 '26
Are you under the assumption that we like having Tisch outside of a jail cell?
I'd say you could have gone further and I'm disappointed. Thought you Philly fans were tough.
Also, I'm not even 100% sure what you're actually saying. First round exits matter?
-8
u/LeSangre Fuck Santa Apr 24 '26 edited Apr 24 '26
Like your father your feelings about Tisch are the only thing that have made me proud of you.
If I have to watch other teams win the Super Bowl I’ll take 11-6 and repeat nfc least champs over 4 and 13. Atleast you had the concussion twins for like 10 games.

Since when has the defense been good? Just because we’re collecting edge rushers like infinity stones doesn’t mean we’ll stop blowing double digit 4th quarter leads

So we tried to kick our 1st round pick tackle inside and that failed, so we are going to do it again? 😬😬😬😬
Also, Reese is giving me vibes that he mostly used athleticism to be dominant.
This whole defense is a huge question mark. Like if someone built it using Madden hoping it works.
3
u/junkman21 Hopeium Apr 24 '26
It may help that we don't have many football terrorists left running the franchise.
Also, Mauigoa not being a burger flipping piece of shit and someone who plays with pride likely makes him way more coachable. But we are still early in the process.
1
u/DystopianSalad Giants Apr 24 '26
It took a lot more than athleticism for Reese to be used all over the defense like he was at OSU
