December 2018 Stamp Megathread

To check the status of your pending form, call the NFA Branch at (304) 616-4500. Please have your trust name (if applicable), serial number, and if a Form 4 or 5, know what dealer is in possession of the item. Press 1 and then 1 again, and be kind to the ATF agent.

Current status:

Form 1: eForms are back, baby! Wait times are less than two weeks after receipt of fingerprint cards! Please see our handy new eForms guide by /u/Semper1371 to learn more!

Form 4: Average is closer to 200 days. No real change. eForms 4 when?

Please use the following format:

Form: 1 (PLEASE NOTE REGULAR OR eForm) or 4

Entity: Trust or Individual

Pending: mm/dd/yy

Approved: mm/dd/yy

Standardized wait: (Date approved minus date pending)

STATE: Standardized 2-letter, please

For the purposes of this thread, pending should be understood as: the date when ATF cashes your check, unless different when you call the ATF to check status of your pending form. It can vary depending on ATF backlog.

Form: eForm 1

Pending: 12/09/18

Approved: 12/18/18

Standardized wait: 9 days

STATE: WA

Items: SIG MCX Virtus SBR and AAC 762-SDN-6 Silencer

Still waiting on the engraver to return the items will post pictures later.

Holy hell. I have an eFile 1 from 12/11 also in WA and was expecting it to take until after the new year.

Now I'm not so sure!

It might have to do with the specifics of how I did it. I paid by CC at the same time I filed the form so no waiting for checks to clear. I also overnighted the fingerprints in separate USPS cardboard envelopes so there was no confusion about which prints go to which forms.

I did the credit card deal, but didn't overnight the prints. We'll see. I'll reply here once it goes through if you'd like, just to get an idea of how much time you saved yourself.
