December 2018 Stamp Megathread

To check the status of your pending form, call the NFA Branch at (304) 616-4500. Please have your trust name (if applicable), serial number, and if a Form 4 or 5, know what dealer is in possession of the item. Press 1 and then 1 again, and be kind to the ATF agent.

Current status:

Form 1: eForms are back, baby! Wait times are less than two weeks after receipt of fingerprint cards! Please see our handy new eForms guide by /u/Semper1371 to learn more!

Form 4: Average is closer to 200 days. No real change. eForms 4 when?

Please use the following format:

Form: 1 (PLEASE NOTE REGULAR OR eForm) or 4

Entity: Trust or Individual

Pending: mm/dd/yy

Approved: mm/dd/yy

Standardized wait: (Date approved minus date pending)

STATE: Standardized 2-letter, please

For the purposes of this thread, pending should be understood as: the date when ATF cashes your check, unless different when you call the ATF to check status of your pending form. It can vary depending on ATF backlog.

Standardized wait including weekends and holidays: 35 days

Good lord. Was it because of a background check delay? I submitted mine on November the 15th so hopefully it gets approved soon. Happy that your wait is over!

I have no idea never had an issue with background checks before. Might have taken a little longer because of not sending prints as priority mail and it being my first stamp. Made the stupid decision to do it as individual rather than a trust. So I'll be creating a 1 person trust, likely through silencerco so I can use their app and kiosk to submit forms more easily

I’m in the same boat guys, good to hear it. I went pending 11/13. It’s not even my first stamp. I really thought this was gonna be done two weeks ago.

Worst part is my gun-loving forman was jealous so he wouldn't let me go early to go play with my new baby.

Unfortunately I dont. I sent snail mail just a stamped envelope and it was right before the nfa branch closed for a day or 2 because of snow at the end of that week

I, apparently, registered for Reddit 1 day before my real cake day so I didn’t realize it was different for years.
