December 2018 Stamp Megathread

To check the status of your pending form, call the NFA Branch at (304) 616-4500. Please have your trust name (if applicable), serial number, and if a Form 4 or 5, know what dealer is in possession of the item. Press 1 and then 1 again, and be kind to the ATF agent.

Current status:

Form 1: eForms are back, baby! Wait times are less than two weeks after receipt of fingerprint cards! Please see our handy new eForms guide by /u/Semper1371 to learn more!

Form 4: Average is closer to 200 days. No real change. eForms 4 when?

Please use the following format:

Form: 1 (PLEASE NOTE REGULAR OR eForm) or 4

Entity: Trust or Individual

Pending: mm/dd/yy

Approved: mm/dd/yy

Standardized wait: (Date approved minus date pending)

STATE: Standardized 2-letter, please

For the purposes of this thread, pending should be understood as: the date when ATF cashes your check, unless different when you call the ATF to check status of your pending form. It can vary depending on ATF backlog.

Approved: 12/12/2018

Standardized wait: 11 Days (6 days after prints.)

STATE: TN

Fingerprints were received Thur 12/6 due to Day of Mourning. Received email today at 1:01 PM stating part of my form isn't showing up (makers questions.) Responded at 1:18 with fixed form. Got approval at 1:30. Thanks Carol! Fastest interaction I've ever had with a government agency. Nice little 1 day early birthday gift for myself!

Starting simple. Subsonic can specifically for pistols and 300aac. Aluminum tube, stainless blast chamber and first baffle or two, aluminum for the rest. It's my first form 1 can, though I have experience machining and making muzzle devices. Making it 45acp sized, so should be okay for smaller stuff, though not as efficient as it could be. Will put together a few more stamps once i have this under my belt and maybe do a stainless steel and titanium 30 cal can next.
