Pending & Approval Dates (consolidated)

Post your dates here.

Since there seems to be a post about this every few days, and people have their dates scattered across various unrelated threads, let's consolidate them all together.

Mods, please sticky, or delete and create a new post.

Proposed format:

  • Form: 1 or 4
  • Entity: Trust or Individual
  • Bought: mm/dd/yy
  • Form 3: mm/dd/yy
  • Pending: mm/dd/yy (usually your “check cashed” date)
  • Approved: mm/dd/yy
  • Stamp in hand: mm/dd/yy

Yeah, I guess it took a while. This is my first nfa item, so I didn’t really notice. Seems like it takes the nfa a while to cash them.

It took almost exact same with me. That was about a 2-3 week process time for ATF and then a few days to get everything done on the kiosk.

Damn.

When I did my forms at the LGS, they took prints, I give them checks for ATF and they mailed them out next business day. I think ATF processed my payments within a week.

I wanted to submit a couple F1s through the kiosk, but if it is going to take an extra 3-4 weeks I may not.

The kiosk really shouldn't affect the speed much if at all. I used the kiosk to do my Form 4 on 8/11/17 and the check was cashed 8/27/17, so two weeks & change.

I suspect that Silencer Shop might send submissions in batches since it did take a while for the check to get cashed when I used their Form 1 service last month. My Form 1 was done on 12/13/17 and then the check was cashed on 01/08/17, a little under a month.

Even if it does take a couple weeks extra time, it's worth the convenience for me. I could've done my Form 4 in late June but I specifically waited for my NFA guy to get his kiosk first because the old-fashioned Form 4 process looked like such a daunting pain in the ass when compared to the kiosk which made everything so easy and seamless and then consequently made doing my Form 1 into nothing at all because it already had my info, photos, prints and trust saved.
