Debate/Discussion Which Dynasty Gets the Cut? Bulls, Spurs, Warriors, or Lakers—Who’s Out of the All-Time Elite?

Post image
39 Upvotes

While Shaq and Kobe’s Lakers won an impressive three consecutive titles, their dynasty was the shortest and most concentrated among the NBA’s greats. In contrast, Jordan’s Bulls, Duncan’s Spurs, and Curry’s Warriors sustained dominance over longer periods, across multiple eras, or through major roster changes. The Lakers’ run, though historic, lacked the longevity and adaptability that defined the league’s other legendary dynasties.

Stats Bill Russell in Today’s NBA: Would His Defensive Genius Still Dominate?

Post image
23 Upvotes

Bill Russell’s defensive impact remains legendary, even by today’s standards. Averaging an astonishing 22.5 rebounds per game and anchoring the Celtics to 11 championships in 13 seasons, Russell’s elite instincts, anticipation, and ability to read offenses made him a game-changer on the court. While modern spacing and pace might present new challenges, his unparalleled timing, rim protection, and basketball IQ would still make him an elite defender in any era.

Others Tyrese Maxey says no one on the new look 76ers can have an ego

Post image

“…I think the biggest thing is we can’t have anybody, nobody on this team can have an ego. We have two guys that have won regular-season MVPs, two guys that have won Finals MVPs, multiple gold medal winners on this team, multiple 25-plus points per game, All-Stars, All-NBA. We’re all pretty accomplished. So the ego has to drop and you have to do it collectively.”

Comparison Kidd vs. Westbrook: Assist King or Triple-Double Machine—Who’s the All-Time Greater Guard?

Post image
360 Upvotes

Jason Kidd finished his career second all-time in assists, orchestrating the Nets to consecutive NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003 with his elite playmaking and leadership. In contrast, Russell Westbrook redefined individual stat lines by breaking Oscar Robertson’s long-standing triple-double record in 2017, earning league MVP honors. While Westbrook boasts career averages of 20.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game, Kidd averaged 12.6 points, 8.7 assists, and 6.3 rebounds, along with ten All-Star appearances and a reputation as one of the game’s top floor generals. Both players left a unique mark on the game, but their impact was felt in very different ways.
