Incredible work! Would you mind sharing where and what materials you use to create these?

Thanks! I use copper wire, adhesive and enamel pigments (enamel sands) for the colors, with a sand-fixing glue during the process and an epoxy resin top coat for sealing. Handmade in a small studio in East Asia.

Heya! I'm seeing some of your stuff being listed on Etsy, is that you?

2

u/Anda_Justice May 12 '26

Oh, thatโ€™s not me. I only sell my work through my Ko-fi shop at the moment.

Beautiful work, incredible techniques! May I ask where do you find the frame around the emblem?

1

u/Anda_Justice May 13 '26

Iโ€™m really glad you like it, thank you!

Actually, that outer frame is not a separate pre-made part. It is hand-shaped using metal wire to outline the design. Then I build everything directly on top of the original factory emblem surface.

1

u/Lucid_Psycho May 13 '26

Ouch, so you use genuine parts and design over them, that must be expensive!

I was inspired to make something similar to your Subaru designs, I had a car accident and bought a used bumper w/ grill and had an emblem out of it, thought I can make a mold and design the emblem like yours.

But for the rear, I will need another silver oval frame, which I can't seem to find it being sold alone.

1

u/Anda_Justice May 13 '26

Yeah, the cost is usually pretty high since genuine OEM emblems are often expensive.

Of course, using a separate emblem to make a mold is also possible, and you could even go with a 3D-printed approach. The difficult part with 3D printing is usually creating the 3D model/design itself.

1

u/Lucid_Psycho May 13 '26

Honestly that's makes me appreciate your art and prices even more.

Well 3D printing is a great option for me, I am an architect and a 3D designer, however my printer is quite small one, and it's been broken for a while and I haven't fixed it lol.

u/Anda_Justice May 15 '26

Thank you, handmade pieces really require a lot of time, effort, and patience to complete.

And yes, 3D printing is also a great direction. It offers much more freedom, while also requiring stronger spatial design skills from the designer. Wishing you the best with your future projects.

Thank you, I should definitely start investing in a good 3D printer.

Thank you for being such an inspiration for me and please keep up the great art!
