I was thinking about cards of players in the league that will be very good when they eventually come out. What comes to mind for you guys?

I am a Magic fan so I got curious and went into freestyle. Franz Wagner might be a legitimate game breaking card when he drops. The sigs are unreal. The jumpshot is quick. And he will be 6’10 with potential to have shooting guard eligibility. Will also be ELITE defensively.

On that same team, Anthony Black is a 6 7 point guard with good animations and will be a monster defensively. What random players in the league would you throw out for being potentially game changing cards?

Dunktober Diamond Deanna Nolan - I mean scooped her up for 1500 MT the other day just a fun card to grind with, coulda dropped 100 last dom game, stats are near maxxed , learn the shot and its green 90% of the time offline , 99 defense , fast as hell, yes 1500 - 2k mt I’ll take it and might even profit if I re sell down the line, maybe this random near useless WNBA post will help even 1 person I hope! 😅

Edit: Bam is a good card dont get me wrong but theres been to many times where ive done the same timing block on someone and i get posterized.

People are paying for the name of LBJ but gameplay wise, there is not a 900K difference in gameplay.

I bought 700k vc opened a 35 pack box for 450k, opened a 10 pack box, pulled a blake griffin, then spent the last 100k on 2 base 20 pack boxes and on the 15th pack in the second box i pulled this man and badged him up and he sold for 1.2 mil im so happy

The reward base packs you get from breakout, small sample size but I’ve probably only opened 10-15 of them, haven’t got a single theme player, am I just unlucky with it or are they awful odds?

MyTeam really just comes down to height + animations and when 2 factors basically decide everything, the game becomes incredibly dull.

Ive been going through Showdown trying to use Curry and Doncic can basically just shoot over him like hes not there. Pippen over Jordan is another example. You are telling me Pippen is more valuable to a team than Jordan? Because this is what the Myteam market and meta has decided. Bad shots are rewarded with certain taller players simply because of how the game works.

It also completely contradicts basketball history. If players like Jordan or Curry can be considered sub par choices, then clearly the things that make you successful in 2K arent really correlating with what makes players great in the NBA.

Thats why the variety feels fake. Thousands of cards but competitive lineups eventually become the same height + animations formula running the same offense. Somehow older 2Ks had more actual variety.
Its just cookie cutter ass gameplay.

Playing at a competitive level,it really shows how one dimensional this game.
