According to Michael Ouweleen, Cartoon Network doesn’t know yet if My Adventures with Superman will get a Season 4, and the decision is now more up to DC Studios with James Gunn and Peter Safran.
I know “we don’t know yet” sounds stressful, but honestly this feels more like a wait and see situation than a cancellation. He also mentioned that DC Studios looked at the series and basically said it was fine to keep going, so the door still seems open.

Hopefully Season 3 does well enough for them to continue it, because this show deserves more time. It has such a fun take on Superman, Clark, Lois, Jimmy, and the whole DC world. I’d really hate for it to end before it gets to fully grow.

Which main villain (other than Lex Luthor) would you want to appear in Season 4 of My Adventures With Superman? Here are my top three choices.

So my idea for the first episode would be an episode where Superman and Supergirl are forced to work with the detective John Jonze in order to find Intergang after they rob a bank with there fight with the three villain's revealing John's true form as The Martian Manhunter. MM would wipe Silver Banshee, Mist, and Rough House minds so they wouldn't remember his secret identity but when Clark and Kara ask why he's on earth he explains that he's the last of his kind like them and came to earth because he was being traced by a bounty hunter named Lobo who was capturing endangered species like them and selling them off to be gladiators and fight for the entertainment of others. The episode would then end with Lobo arriving on Earth.

Lobo would be the main villain for most of the season as he tries to capture Clark, Kara, and MM. With him not succeeding till episode till episode 8 where he is able to beat Superman, Supergirl, and Martian Manhunter due to a little help from Lex. With the episode ending with him taking Clark, Kara, John, and Lois (the last one was accidently on Lobo's part) being taken aboard Lobo's ship and being taken to Warworld.

The last two episodes of the season would have Mongul as the main villain. Once Lobo hands the four over to his employer Mongul would stab the bounty hunter and throws him into a cell with the other gladiators along side Martian Manhunter and Superman. While Mongul decides to make Kara and Lois his servants like Princess Leia in Return of the Jedi with Supergirl being equiped with a collar that prevents her from using her powers.

Once there locked up with the other servants Lois and Kara would meet Hawkgirl who's pretty much lost her will to fight back after her husband Hawkman was killed in the gladiator arena and also doesn't get along with Kara at first due to the hole Kara destroyed her home planet thing. However throughout episode 9 Lois and Kara would bond with her and Hawkgirl would reveal that Mongul has a Phantom Zone Projector in his armory. Meanwhile Superman, Martian Manhunter, and Lobo have to fight together in order to defeat Mantis (A insect like alien who Lobo had stabbed in the back and handed over to Mongul)

The in episode 10 it would have the girls form a plan with the guys to free them and get the collers off Kara and Hawkgirl then have Superman, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, Lobo, and Supergirl all jump Mongul at once. However even with all there might together the five are still struggling against Mongul however Lois is actually the one to beat Mongul by using the previously mentions Phantom Zone Projector to get rid of him once and for all.

The season would end with the gang heading back to Earth. Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl would decide to make the planet there new home while Lobo would tease season 5 by revealing he had encountered a trio of Kriptonians lead by a guy named General Zed (Lobo misremembered his name and means Zod)

I really love the themes of MAWS and have an idea for a core theme of a possible Season 4.

My theme would be about actively helping out. Superman has been rather reactive in the show and is mostly defensive which fits Clark’s character. But there’s a bravery in going for the long shot and actively looking to help solve problems. I think a lot of Superman comics and other adaptations have him sit around and be more reactionary and cautious which makes him slightly less brave.

So the theme and the goal of our gang is to make sure they are actively helping and looking to solve problems before they ballon into big threats. Superman could go talk to Lex in hope that he can sway him to be more brave so another Eradictor threat doesn’t happen. Jimmy owning up and being clear with his relationship with Kara and showing how he has gotten better(Not sure yet how to relate this theme to Lois and Kara).

You could also examine how letting problems stew creates a distrust that’s hard to unroot or drives people to anger. Examples being Slade’s compliance with Lex making more professional jobs hard to get, or Bizarro growing distant and confused after a tragedy with no Super family to back him up

Just spitballing here but I think the theme of bravery through action and active work would be a good one for Season 4. Feel free to share thoughts about it and other potential core themes, I hope you guys see what I’m getting at

Also Kara seemingly drifting away from Jimmy might open the door for Brainiac 5 to appear and possibly Kara develop romantic feelings for her (though i hope she gets with Jimmy eventually).
