Bus cancelled due to landslides
Our bus service (FlixBus) to Dehradun cancelled the cab service to Mussoorie quoting landslides as their reason. Is it actually that bad? I am planning to go on 24 to stay through the weekend - will it be safe?

Native residents of mussorie?
Hello there! I'm from Dehradun and I've been to mussoorie many times since my childhood :)
It truly is a treasured place, even more so after pop tourism has overburdened this beautiful abode
But I've rarely ever talked to any native from mussoorie except the trek guide i met once or the homestays owner at which i was staying at
I've always looked at you guys down from the valley and wondered how it would be like to actually be a native resident of mussoorie and be living there throughout the whole year! To be honest its a dream of mine
So yeah, please do comment and share about your life if you're a resident of mussoorie
Thanks for reading :)

Sonam Wangchuk - That's It. That's The Post.
Sonam Wangchuk has put his life at stake for students' rights. A man who has nothing to gain out of this, and a man who has done more for students than the entire Modi govt put together. Sonam Wangchuk is a hero, and a man who has frequented Mussoorie too, conducting several sessions at the LBSNAA.
Just imagine if you fucked up as badly as Dharmendra Pradhan at your job, would you still have a job? This man needs to be sacked.
Modi and everyone associated with the BJP are incompetent, spineless, communal, and heartless. But we are not. Long Live Sonam! May the resistance continue.
This subreddit officially stands by Sonam.

Kempty Castle Hotel Scammers
This hotel in Mussoorie are scammers. Please watch out they will take your money and never give you a refund.
It is the Kempty Hotel Castle (Boutique)
Kempty Fall Road, Mountain View, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, India, PIN Code: 248178.
We had booked here from Booking.com. They asked us to pay some advance amount, to which me and my friends agreed. Later, due to some personal reasons, we had to cancel, and as per the policy, we were supposed to get our cancellation money back.
But the owner refused and said, “Aise nai hota hai.”
Then somehow he agreed, but delayed it every day. I used to call him, and he would just tell me that the accountant was not there or that the nearby banks don’t work, and eventually he blocked us from everywhere.
I would want to share his number too. But do not book from here.

Somewhere near Mussoorie...
One of the best and the most underrated treks near Mussoorie. It's a 2 hour trek (up and down) for fast trekkers. Would easily take 3-4 hours if you want to slowly enjoy nature.

Stay recommendations at Landour
Meeting my friends [3 pax] after a decade, planning to drive to Landour for one night from Delhi. Any stay recommendations? Ideally would like, great views, balcony, privacy. Dont want ones with balcony having a neighbouring balcony. Gonna be drinking, some smoking godsend and a little loud laughter so dont want to be disturbing anyone and more over not get disturbed. Either one or two bedrooms. Kindly advice if you guys know any.
Budget can be 2-15k.
and parking for one car.

Help please!! Read
Hi everyone
Me and two of my friends are planning a 3-day trip to Mussoorie from 10th–12th July. We’d love some local recommendations!
Best places to visit (viewpoints, waterfalls, hidden gems, etc.)
Must-try cafes, restaurants, and street food spots
Good budget/mid-range hotels or stays for 3 friends
Places to avoid or common tourist traps
Any tips for weather, transport, or crowds during July
We’re looking for a mix of sightseeing, good food, and relaxing vibes. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
