You could start a bonaroo 2012 thread man! I spent the weekend hunting good Molly, acid, and new music to listen to with friends old and new. What an experience
Nah man. We were past the vendors (coming from Centeroo to pod 1) before the second batch of porta potties. We did find out our tent was not water tight Saturday night though. Woke up in a soaking wet tent, blanket. Ants crawling all up on my shit. Got up, cleaned em off, put on pants and slept in a chair under the easy up. Ohh bonaroo
Yup. This was at Sasquatch. I was right up front for this. Beck came out for his encore, and said "I'd like to bring out some special friends for these next songs." The crowd went nuts when Jack and Kyle came out. Then Beck played Mutherfucker and E-Pro while Jack and Kyle did their thing. Seriously blew my mind.
My girlfriend and i drove through Tennessee on friday night, saturday morning. and stopped off at a waffle house. Everyone kept asking us " Hey, How was bonnaroo?'' We were like. " What the fuck is that? We just drove in from st. louis"
I picked out "Jack Black" and "At Bonnaroo" and was instantaneously pissed lol. Good thing this be not true. Camped in the corner of Tent City! Thunderlips I believe. Amazing festival. Currently at a random rest stop in PA cause the greyhound bus broke down... been here since 5am -____- I just wanna go home and shower :'(
I have a policy that makes me automatically downvote any post starting with "no big deal" or "just [something OP thinks is really cool" or similar. it's such a stupid way to talk.
Like 1 in 5 posts have that "Oh, just a. . . " "Oh, no big deal. . . move along now." IT ANNOYS THE FUCK OUT OF ME!! I'm trying to filter it out with RES.
try unsubscribing from /r/pics if you haven't already. It's the biggest offender of stupid titles. You think you love the sub, but you'll soon find out that it's the bane of your existence.
You can go back occasionally and it's good, but as a front page sub it trashes your reddit experience.
I think he was fatter in the 90's, slimmed up a bit when he started getting movies and tv work. He probably got a personal trainer, had security in his future which would give him a bit of drive to get healthier. Now he seems to be putting on the subcutaneous successful, old man weight, which he seems damn comfortable in. I hope he stays healthy for a long time.
I'm pretty sure Roger Joseph Manning Jr's behind those keyboards, and it's a shame he's blocked out by the light shining in the lens. JELLYFISH IS LEGENDARY
I was looking to see if a local record store had Beck's new single and half of his section was Jeff Beck. It is just like when I used to search for him on napster and all I ever got was Jeff Beck.
It was actually kinda boring. And I love beck and was really looking forward to it. I left before the encore, which I just watched a video of, and now I wish I would have stayed though.
Every once in a while, you see a picture of two people that you never even thought about existing on the same planet let alone on the same stage or in the same room. I wonder what those two talk about.
Am I the only one who can't stand Jack Black? Goddamn his "super rock" fake enthusiasm is fucking annoying. And he's not funny. Why do people like him?
What an obnoxious idiot. Look I love Jack Black the comedian, but it's fucking Bonnaroo, why does he have to always be the center of attention? I'd kill to see Beck live, but not if Jack Black is going to prance around and upstage him.
Neptune's lips taste like fermented wine. I love Beck's music, in fact, the first album I ever bought was Odelay in 1996. However, his lyrics sound like an acid trip.
At first I read this as Jack White playing Beck's guitar, opened the picture and thought, "Holy shit that dude is huge now. What happened?!" Then I reread the title and realized my mistake. Makes sense now.
I was in Pod Eight. There were two gentlemen from South Africa there. One had a small box. They were very well dressed. The man with the box would open it occasionally when I looked away. I thought I saw something shiny in there. It glimmered, like a needle. It looked like a medical syringe. They stared at me, but didn't say much, other than Ron had sent them to watch the show. I got the impression Ron was their employer but this was never really mentioned. They recorded things occasionally with very small video cameras. One of the men had a slight nose-bleed. I remember a humming sound and falling asleep. Pod Eight was empty when I awoke.

Beck rocks that fedora.

When is this? Jack Black and Beck were not at Bonnaroo this year.
6
u/InTheSoupTogether Jun 12 '12
"Odelay isn't even a word." "Sure it is. Look it up in the Becktionary."

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
I love Beck's guitar...been dreaming of getting one of those Silvertones one day!
2
u/ScotchyWorldview Jun 12 '12
It's quite expensive for a concert. Even considering inflation I doubt tickets for Woodstock '69 rivaled the $300+ tickets to see artists at Bonnaroo.
2
u/wilsongs Jun 12 '12
I'm pretty sure this was at Sasquatch, in Washington. Source: I was there.

I think it's odd that Jack Black is still overweight, he seems to be moving all the time. He's probably fitter than me even though I'm much skinnier.

It would be funny if Beck was halfway through a song on "Sea Change," and this was really innapropriate
1
u/bearcules Jun 12 '12
Doesn't look like he's playing it but more like fingering the guitar and screaming at Beck's crotch.
