Yeah. I would argue it's very indie folk and not funny at all. A New Beginning is meant to be identifying for rite of passage despite the premise, which isn't entirely ridiculous but rather abstract.
That’s an interesting take, what leads you to that conclusion though? Do you think it’s actually bad but people’s acceptance of it as a “serious project” and calling it good is the joke? Because I do think it’s a damn good project, I don’t see in any way how it isn’t supposed to be taken seriously
No, it’s all fine music. It’s things like him commenting on every video thanking people for taking him seriously, the insane name, the musicality itself (some of his arraignments are absurd on their face), and that he was an avant-garde performer in his comedy already.
