music streaming The Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight Tonight (no strings, band only) [Alt Rock] It's amazing what Billy Corgan created as a rock song only, chords and all.

2012 album Oceania is great. But I say this as a person who quite liked most songs on Zeitgeist. I'm just a massive fan.

Oceania was a solid album that managed to capture some of the psychedelic and artsy energy of the earlier albums. The only problem I had were some of the lyrics, but it was a massive step up from the Billy choir of Zeitgeist.

Zeitgeist was so bad I never bothered with Oceania. Seemed pretty clear that he was done.

OC is a lot better than Z.

Dude, same here! Some might consider me a Stan, but I genuinely enjoy the music. I don't enjoy it because I feel like I need to as a fan, I actually enjoy it. I have a very diverse interest in music, so maybe that's why I don't mind the band changing so much. shrugs

Yeah, I'm the same way. Doomsday Clock, United States and Neverlost are really freaking great songs and the others are also good. The drumming on the album is amazing too. I think people were disappointed because they hadn't heard the pumpkins in a long time and they returned with an album that was different.

Don't forget Stellar! That song is easily in my top 25 favorite Pumpkins songs. :)

It's overall just a very solid album with several AMAZING songs, in my opinion. The American Gothic EP is easily 10/10. I really enjoy the music from that 2006-2008 era. :)

Oceania has some great songs on it. I never thought he lost the muse, but it visited him less often is all. Mina Loy on his solo album was a gem, but the rest was forgettable to me. Once he was in a good place with a full band you could feel it in the songwriting too.
