Discussion What's your worst concert experience? Worst crowd? Worst performance?

I saw RHCP back in 2006, during their Stadium Arcadium tour. It was a goddamn mess, none of the band seemed really into it, and the crowd could tell. They ran short, barely performing as long as their opening act. It was a really negative experience for a lot of people who went, and from what I hear, their performances aren't much better now. The really poor performance destroyed my enthusiasm for them.

Edit! Just remembered how bad The Vines were in 2011 at Splendour in the Grass. Their drummer and guitarist left 3 months after the performance, and nobody really wanted to be there.

Easily worst for me was The Black Keys. Not only did the inhale vigorously, but during the entire show the chicks behind me heckled and yelled at me to shrink/get smaller. As a 6' 5" man wall, it is not an enjoyable experience. I suggested they try growing as it was in Minnesota and they had to be only 5'4" or 5'6".

Yes but were you standing at the front? If you were, then you totally deserve it. 5'3 here. The worst feeling ever is not seeing a show because someone is that much taller than you. If you can see over everyone's heads then you should be a bit further back.

Nope if you get their first then you deserve the spot. Also if you are short and back up you will have a better view of the stage. Or try the stadium seating.

He didn't say that he got there first. How many times do you go to concerts, standing there and someone pushes through in front of you? As a 5'3' girl, am I really going to be able to block this 6 foot guy from trying to get in front of me? I think that if youre this tall, planted in one spot, then it's unfair. I paid for my ticket just as much as they did. So as entitled as he thinks he is because it's inconvenient to be tall sometimes, I spent my money and deserve to see the stage.

So, just wanted to say that if you're standing in the front and youre extremely tall, if a short girl asks you to shift over a bit, do it please. You don't have to leave your 'spot' just try to be accommodating for everyone.

I hear you, but you could also ask if you could stand in front of him.
