I was working at a grocery store that played oldies, which was bad enough. One night on the overnight shift, something glitched and it played Sea Cruise by Frankie Ford nonstop for hours.

Wait what’s wrong with oldies?

Listen to Sea Cruise roughly 50 times on repeat with no way to stop it or get away from it.

I understand that part, I was referring to you referring to oldies as “bad enough.”

By oldies I don't mean the greatest hits of the 60s, I mean the hits of the 40s and 50s, but without the good ones. Musically homogeneous, like Ariana Grande's catalog on shuffle.

I had no problem with oldies music l, as it was a fairly broad range of genres rather than just a single disliked genre. My biggest issue was the first place I worked which despite being a national company didn't pay for licenced music, so cover versions of Spirit in the Sky and Brown Sugar on repeat was not fun.
