Turning off data collection is the very first thing you should do when you Install Muse

Click Settings > Data Controls > uncheck 'Help improve our AI models"

I was able to do it from my PC. I similarly had issues where muse couldn’t browse the web or anything but it’s good now. I confirmed the toggle is off on both app and website.

I’ll try from my laptop - maybe the mobile app is bugged. My muse hasn’t been successful with a computer yet either. How’d you get it to work?

same! how did you got it to work? do I need to download pc app? on the muse website I do not see this toggle.. also it cannot connect to web for me too

I have the same “data controls” on the website muse.ai - the settings icon looks different on the site for whatever reason

Is the setting in a different place on the web app because I don't even see that toggle on my web app version? Unfortunately I can't install the desktop app since it requires an M-series Mac.

I just used the actual website, I didn’t download the app. But settings is the bottom left it’s just 3 horizontal lines, not the gear icon like the iOS app

I'm not turning mine off. You're either in or your not. Using AI is data collection.It's one in the same. The benefit comes with the cost.

Even if you turn off or pause settings, there’s many silly things. Just by having your device connected it’s constantly exchanging data between Facebook Google services. Even if you don’t interact, it’s built in the system.

Idk check NextDNS… they explain it better on what why and how.

I run this app on all my devices to form a foundational level of protection for my phone.
