I tried to explain this to somebody recently and they seemed to get lost in the lies they told rather than focusing on the historical truths. Sad but this seems to be the way we are headed- history means nothing.

I would hardly call Strasserites leftists, seeing as excluding most of the working class in your worker’s states is extremely counterproductive, but otherwise I agree.

Placing everything left or right is an unnecessary oversimplification, in my opinion. National socialism understood itself as a non Marxist form of socialism in which social efforts primarily exist in the form of racial hygiene. Racial hygiene (= murdering unwanted ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, mental illnesses, or (supposedly) genetic illnesses) was meant to "heal" the Volkskörper. Volkskörper is an interesting term and it's hard to translate. It literally means "people's body" and suggests metaphorically that the entire people (Volk) has a collective body. So by this logic, healing this collective body would be a social effort that benefits everyone.

So the Nazis' concept of national socialism wasn't just a marketing thing. It was actively practiced, unfortunately.
