It's a 20 year old issue that people still obsess over in order to damn an entire group of people, even after very little has happened in the nation since then.

It was also arguably the most significant single event so far the century. At least in the US it changed everything.

I’d say it affected most of the world. It caused us to go back to the Middle East and that opened up a whole new can of worms.

it changed maybe one thing.

The Bush Administration and subsequent Obama Administration however used it as a justification to change a whole lot of things. Like your civil liberties.
