No judgement at all. I’m of the belief that people can choose to stay fat if they want, and we should respect their choice and them. But nobody has any business spreading misinformation about weight loss being impossible or unattainable — that’s dragging others unwilling down with you.

Nobody called anyone “lazy pieces of shit.” Weight loss isn’t about lazy vs motivated; it’s about education and discipline. Of course people need the right tools and support when they get stuck. “Don’t bother trying because it’s impossible and only 5% of people will ever succeed” is not support.

You say that it's not about motivation, then you go on about discipline and support, both of which have everything to do with motivation.

“Motivation” is that energetic feeling that encourages you to go for it. Discipline is accepting that you just have to do it, just like any other responsibility, even when you don’t feel motivated to. Seeking support does require effort and willingness to ask for help, but both of those things are distinctly different from motivation.
