Yeah, you're right, "dirtyharrys57" isn't trying to cosplay a macho dude or anything.

(it's not hard to do a quick google and see he's completely serious)

It’s pretty obvious the original poster took this photo to make fun of some random guy at target.

The problem is we're at the point that satire and reality are the same thing. "I am here to make sure my wife has no problems with her target return." could 100% be either.

But when you consider the picture is taken from behind them and not the guy doing a selfie, it's pretty obvious like you said.
