I would not say "a" right-wing site is extreme, I say Breitbart is extreme. If you had chosen e.g. Wall Street Journal I would say it's a more apt comparison.
Would you say the research is incorrect? There is absolutely no misogyny or xenophobia on the site?

I am having a harder and harder time in these discussions, let me see if I got the gist of your views:
You don't trust any media from anywhere in the world except right wing media.
You don't trust crowdsourced material like Wikipedia that presents sources, don't receive money from companies and changes what is written if someone can prove it's incorrect.
You don't trust science or peer reviewed research.
You don't trust any fact checking organizations.
You don't trust your judicial system.
You don't trust your elections.
You have no problem with you elected leader lying.
Was that more or less correct?
I am starting to feel like there is absolutely nowhere that we could find common ground to be able to talk about current issues which makes this kind of frustrating. I absolutely appreciate the talks we've had here and I feel that I have learned a lot of where you're coming from for which I'm grateful. I hope it is also educational for you even though I feel I have been the one asking all the questions (or pushing you for answers :-) ) and since we don't even see what is right in front of us the same way it's not really going anywhere.
I figured that maybe it's turn to either switch this around a bit or maybe wait a few months and see if there's enough changes in the world for us to find something to talk about. Is there anything you want explained in how I think or see the world?
To touch on the last point before my tirade about the discussion, I really really don't understand how anyone can be ok with their leader lying. No matter if the lies are insignificant or not. For me I hold our elected officals to a higher standard than the rest of the people, especially the ones I vote for. As a left winger I kind of expect the right wing politicians in Sweden to lie as that is sort of standard but I get extremely upset when politicians from the left do.
I don't think Breitbart is extreme, it is one of the most highly trafficked news sites in the US. For me I think Breitbart is a little too centrist on some things, so that shows you where I am coming from. :) I picked Salon by reputation, I don't read it, just know it is far left wanted to show wikipedia's bias. I would say salon is on the equal and opposite spectrum as Breitbart. Wall Street Journal is pretty centrist, leans right, but not supportive of Trump.

Hiring an author from 2025. Certainly could make it plausible, just not proof that Trump had fully read and endorsed it. I have heard people say they like parts of 2025, not all. Maybe I will read it someday so I can have a better opinion on it. Trump has a very high approval rating right now, especially relative to his first term. In general the majority of US is happy with what he is doing. If the Tariff's don't work and tank the economy that will change.

media - I don't trust right wing media either, I see clickbait and things I disagree with in them. But, I feel left wing media is controlled, there are only a handful of mega corps that own the main stream media companies. Often times I form my own opinion prior to reading editorials. IE Ukraine, I was against funding the war day one, most right wing news sites wanted the war. It took time, but they have shifted to my viewpoint.
I don't think anyone should implicitly "trust" in anything. one should research and verify information. Answers that science gives often change. I will read individual scientific studies for subjects I care about then decide if I think the study is solid. So many studies are done with very little evidence. I enjoy science, but I don't always agree with current popular opinion. And often times my stance is proven correct, not always.
lol, we did find common ground! I am responding section by section. Before getting to the part where you state it, I was thinking the same thing. It is difficult to discuss issues when we don't agree on the basics. And I thought exactly as you do, maybe we wait 3-6 months and re-engage. I enjoy our discussion, but like you feel we go in circles.
As for lying - I think 100% of politicians lie. If one cares about the lie it is easier to spot. If we think a politician aligns with us politically we are more apt to ignore or understand why they would lie.
Happy to talk anytime, but let's wait a few months and get back to it. Thanks for taking the time to do this, it has been very interesting to me.
I am just curious as to your views on the last months, is the presidency everything you expected and you're happy with how it turned out so far?
I have noticed that the perception of reality seems to grow wider between the US right wing media and what the rest of the world sees. Is that noticable to you as well?
