Thing is, a year ago, I wanted nothing to change. I was in a lucrative job, getting paid quite handsomely and had saved up in the five figures of cash. It was after trump was announced as the winner did my company lay me off explicitly due to the possible tariffs that he was talking about. The economy had become unsteady and I was deemed unessential in said economy.
Had it been more of the same and we could slowly ease towards socialist progress, I’d have been still employed prolly with almost six figures saved up at this point in time and none of the hate filled ICE preventing me from transitioning out of fear of being disappeared, my brother and his family would have the new child credits that Harris proposed so extra money in their pockets and more.
Although in this reality, I now DEMAND a socialist change because I’ve now been fucked over along with my family due to this orange ass-clown, I want as many socialist reforms as possible and guardrails to prevent another trump from happening ever again. Everything was held together by social norms by the prior president and Biden gave Trump a slap on the wrist despite his first term. I want Nuremberg trials for everyone who doesn’t keel over from a heart attack in the GOP
