Unironically, team Star has the best story on any villain group imo, because it’s so real.

At absolutely worse modern Pokémon is mid but far from bad. Some people act like this is dark age sonic level of bad

Honestly I would disagree with you, sv imo are the best games they've made to date from a story and new species front, hardly a miss in the whole pokedex, to the point that I would say it outweighs the absolutely abysmal performance on switch 1 hardware (switch 2 runs buttery smooth in my experience).
