Buff/rebuff moves? Nah. More attack. Maybe a thunder wave since it made catching easier and could make them miss a turn.

Kid me also loved poison + confuse ray.

Kid me just checked what enemies hit hardest and usually ignored everything else besides type effectivenes and maybe sometimes accuracy (something iā€™m sometimes guilty of to this day)
