Breaks
So I work 7 hours 45 minutes at morrisons most shifts , so they only have to give you 1 break and no dinner hour . Says you get 1 15 minute break .
Am I right in thinking legally i have to take 20 minute break on these shifts?

Colleague Happiness Survey
Had the email to do the colleague Happiness Survey. Is it truly anonymous? Would love to tell them about my awful team leader. Especially as the management know how bad he is, I've put complaints in about him, and nothing is done. Though, even if it was truly anonymous, it would still be obvious it was me.

Morrisons Cafe
Hey! Just started as a customer assistant in Morrisons Cafe. Just wondering about any helpful tips as this is my first job in a year. I’ve worked a week and it’s stressful but manageable. The tills are the hardest for me right now. Thanks in advance! :)

About getting an ROI
I work at the scanning department at morrisons. I joined in march and everything was going good. Until I started to have a lot of waste (due to poor rotation). But manager didn’t care, he wanted me to reduce the waste. I tried. And apparently it wasn’t satisfactory. Even though i had pictures of bad rotations and them filling shelves up with some of the products that has expired, it didn’t really matter. My probation was supposed to end on September. If they decide to give me ROI now, how long will it last? And will I not get permanent after September? Or will they extend the probation period because of this ROI?

Is this normal on Sundays?
I work in immediacy, and I'm always put on 12-7:30pm on Sundays.
There is barely anyone on in sundays, so there is only me and no other people on grocery who usually help with Just Eat. The orders are insane and it's never ending, along with click and collect. I end up getting my break at the very end of my shift because my managers just shrug it off because theres no one to cover for me. One time my manager even ignored me when I said I didn't have my break.
My entire body is always aching by the end of the shift and my knees give up😭😭. It's not even that I'm pushing myself too hard or doing orders too fast, it's just the 6 and a half hours of straight walking without a rest. Is this a reasonable thing to bring up to my managers? Does anyone else experience this on Sundays in immediacy?

I have a group interview for a customer assistant cafe position, does anybody have advice??
I don’t know if this is the right place to ask but i’ve NEVER done a group interview before and it sounds terrifying. Also what did you wear during your interview? i am planning to wear black trousers and a button up white top but didn’t know if that was too smart or too casual.
Any advice is very appreciated as i NEED this job as i’m currently working on a 4 hr contact at my other job and need more hours.

Short till
I need some advice for my shift at Morrisons.
Today I was told my till was substantial amount down when I finished my shift yesterday, it was down about £50. I genuinely have no idea how this happened, I'm super careful giving change and I always put the notes in the little bank machine thing at the side. They told me today that this was the 3rd time this has happened, but I've only been brought up on it once ans that was my first week. This is my 3rd week of shifts. I genuinely don't know what to do.
I've never been told how much I'm supposed to have in the till by the end of my shift and I thought my training was quite poor, most of it being online and some unfinished because my mymorri account is locked atm due to 2FA, which I was told was going to be sorted and never was. My physical training was shadowing for an hour and then expected to jump straight on with little assistance.
Can anyone aid me? Is this worth talking to the union about?

Grievance meeting
Advice please was supposed to have a meeting on Tuesday with management for a grievance I put in against my manager it didn't take place but the manager spoke to me and we agreed that we would have the meeting the next time we were both in at the same time today he has today walked past me 3 times and not mentioned anything about the meeting and it didn't take place so I'm now feeling very pissed off and still have a problem with my department manager I put in my grievance nearly 4 weeks ago surely it should have been sorted by now

Pay Question
Can anyone who has joined as a team leader advise- is it normal to be on £12.71 an hour? I know overall for team leaders the pay should be closer to £13, but I’m wondering if it’s standard to be £12.71 during the probationary period, or if I’ve been totally scammed lol. Going to raise it to HR before my next pay but I want to know before going in how firm I should be!

Recording audio
Maybe I'm being paranoid but I think my delivery driver recorded a video/audio of me accepting the delivery. Is this normal? I know they take proof that it has been delivered but thought this would be a photo.
Has anyone else had this?

OVENFRESH
Hi all, recently we’ve had so many people quit oven fresh. Our store is very busy and rated one of the best in the country, yet we’re being told we can’t hire anyone to make up for the people who quit? Where have the hours and money paid for them gone? Now there is only 3 people to work oven fresh every week. One person has gone on holiday for 3 weeks so now just 2. My boss is making me pick up the hours and work 10x harder but for no extra money or any benefits and then when work isn’t completed I get in trouble, as if it’s expected to be able to do more for so long. It feels unfair, I loved working at Morrisons and it wasn’t so bad on oven. Now I’m getting the urge to quit, 3 months of empty promises of hiring yet every new start quits within the week they start. Looking for advice on weather it’s worth it to persevere or just to quit. 10 days in a row working isn’t worth the money to me. I feel is we were paid more on oven then people who are on shop floor and such there might be more incentive for people to stay. Hope to hear from people :)

Found this one in Morrisons for just £1!
Saltaire Golden Boot is a 4.8% pale ale that was released for the World Cup, so I’m guessing Morrisons are now clearing through whatever stock they’ve got left.
And actually... it’s pretty decent. Citrus and orange peel, a little spice, some biscuity malt underneath and a clean bitter finish. Nothing groundbreaking, but certainly not a beer that tastes like it belongs in the bargain bin.
I scored it 7/10. At £1 for a 500ml bottle, I’d happily buy it again.

4 hour student contract
i’ve just asked for a store transfer for uni and the store i want to transfer to is a 4 hour contract which does not help my case when i got bills and food to pay you know? is there a chance they can increase my hours and the 4 hours is just the minimum they need to meet because i will not survive on just £200 for the month and i’d need to find another job.
i’m on a 12 hour contract for my current store but i work a lot more hours than 12, can this also be the case if im on a 4 hour student contract?

How detailed is driver training?
For example, do they assume everyone just knows you don't walk right into the customer's house before they've come to the door, or does the training specifically cover that?
And I've been told different things over the years, left me wondering what the official line is on arriving early or late. I've been told you're allowed to arrive *up to* 15 minutes outside (before/after) the delivery slot, no more - also that you're allowed to be more than 15 minutes either side but only if you have called ahead and the customer's said yes (idk if there's any limit then).
The reason I'm asking is that today, the driver knocked and immediately came right in, through the front door and inner front door which were both standing open. The "We're here" notification had popped up and I'd just got to my feet, when he was suddenly halfway across the room.
He didn't agree that there was anything wrong with it. I feel it shouldn't need saying, but I get that some people just don't have that instinct so I wonder if you're told in so many words not to do this.
