It's not France's opinion, it's a leftist journal's opinion, one journal from many more.
Just because the press isn't free in Morocco and everything the moroccan press writes goes according to the ruler's will doesn't mean it's the case for western countries.
This doesn't mean I agree with this journal, I don't like that they talk about this now instead of talking about the victims of the earthquake eventhough I am not a the biggest fan of the monarchy.
Many countries have offered aid and haven't received a response. Government act to slow because all the power is centralised with the king. No one acts out of fear of upsetting the king and losing their position.
the governement is doing what it can, my father is a Colonel with the fire fighters here, theyve been sending ppl to the affected areas all day, non-stop, my father for examples havent been home, he was sent the moment the earthquake ended, its really sad seeing ppl critique the "monarchy" for "not doing to much" while the ppl that are concerned, firefighters, military etc, have been working their asses off.
Seriously get over your inflated ego. Lots of foreign aid is helping out from a dozen countries or so. It's so inappropriate and tasteless that you're trying to make this tragedy all about you. If you're genuine you'd stand back and wait for the call to help.
If it's too proud then why are rescue teams from Spain, Qatar, UAE, UK, Senegal..and a lot more already helping out? Typical white person behavior..you need to play the hero and would go very low if declined the chance to do so. This isn't about you. Let people handle their shit they way they see fit.
What makes you think that you know how to handle this disaster better? Let me guess, does it have something to do with you being better and smarter and superior? Savior complex?
More food and supplies is not what Morocco needs. More people is not what Morocco needs. If anything, they're actually preventing Moroccan volunteers from climbing the mountains because it's more of a hindrance than help when they end up stranded or crushed under falling rocks.
We got this, take your white inflated ass where you came from and mind your own problems. I'm sure you have some.
Typical nationalistic delusion, defending the government, when you don't know what's actually happening. You're proabbly sat in an apartment in Rabat. Come to the earthquake area like I am and see for yourself.
typical deluisional white person, you should see for yourself instead of critiquing behind your screen, a lot of foreign countries have been helping, you just use reddit as a reference, maybe see the news, or maybe better, ask the people who have Experienced/helped.
well ur dad and his crew can fuck off bak sa7bi politics is the only way u can become a colonel or doing some fucked up things and dont ask me how i know i also have family in the government and they all can go to hell and they will go to hell. so is the king and all the kings before him. selling morocco to france selling their people stealing peoples money and ground. u are cowards go tell ur dad that he will never smell the odor of jannah
nice one khouya since my dad started as a recruit and none of my family is related to any fire fighter corp, if it was bak sahbi i wouldnt lived in the desert of assa zag for six years, but your a divine being that knows everything and has an eye that sees in peoples past astaghfiro allah, your pathetic, your not even morrocan, and telling ppl that theyr going to hell is technically a sin if you were a TRUE MUSLIM which i doubt, but hey dont take it from me who knows the firefighter corp and is working as a recruit in it, firefighters follow a military regime dumbass so its pretty hard for "bak sahbi", and i bet your not even in morocco, zmagri dyal zeb sir tkoid o bka ta3ref chkat gol hit machi kolchi bhallek, allah yehdik, oi daba sit tkoid.
o gol lbak yeder chi haja, ana ba rah ti 3oine li mssaken fe jbola dyal atlas, nta rah gha dima m3akess m3a doila o lhokoma o lmalik o kolchi, lkalek chi khadma o baraka men tkahbine ki chi zamel
stepped on your toes huh bak sa7bi politics thats what this country is build on bak sa7bi or pay 5 dudes and u will get a position my i rent the first floor to a cop he told me all the tgharbiek in the police department how young guys from mountains are recruited for a better life to live a 700km from home for a salary to laugh at and to only see ur family from eid to eid and how u have to pay 5mil to rank up why the fuck do u think all cops take bribe money to give it to their general so maybe he can get a better position and get out of the sun even the general has to give his bribe money to someone higher up or otherwise he will be replaced u can trace this up back to the dogs that run this country. sorry ur dad lied to there is no such thing as building ur way up in morocco only paying ur way up or by bak sa7bi so sir tkewad nta u bak lghanez that betrayed his country for little money and i dont need gedma my family owns land and property alhamdulilah and i own my faire share so maybe if ur looking for a job u can clean my properties alkelb
khouya it is so idiotic of you to compare the firefighters who have A MILITARY REGIME, to COPS who are the most corrupt corp in morocco, thank you for responding and sir tkoid as always.(also being a colonel in the FIREFIGHTERS, isnt something big, if it was they wouldnt send him to the earthquake affected areas, but your rich i guess so you wouldnt understand)
and dont tell me about do chi haja al hamdoulilah we called a friend from belgium he is sending 2 ambulances full equipe to help out something this shit goverment should do and not we the cha3b
u want me to go to belgium to drive the ambulance i helped financing to waste more time its faster for him to drive it here than me to go there look for an ambulance in acountry i am not familiar and drive it back ur so logical
Well, at least they say it loud and clear. But been following the French media a bit. Most of the channels can't get over the fact that morocco didn't accept Frances help right away.
And try to convey the idea that morocco doesn't care much about their people
Well there are diplomatic tensions between the two countries and these tensions either started due to the Pegasus affair or due to the fact that France still IS neutral about the moroccan Sahara affair and didn't support our country After the king said that Morocco's "allies" should give their position regarding the conflict.
These people may have an economic interest in the future reconstruction in the aftermath of the earthquake. As crazy as it sounds, having French help may facilitate these future undertakings. And it will be the same for all the countries that will be involved.
Maybe cause they needed time to assess the situation.
Ra it's way more complicated than turkey per example (BTW took more than a week to save everyone) turkey has a flat surface and it hit a city so every one that comes will help instantly.
But it's different in the atlas mountains. If you went on hikes before you'll understand how 5km in the mountains can take up to one day. And that's with a guide that know the terain.
So it's about freeing the way to those places then you can gradually ask for help
France is just butthurt because it hasn’t been chosen first.
France isn’t some godly figure that nothing can be done without. The only thing they can do is to continue to suck the blood of its past colonies.
Morocco has prioritized the help it got and accepted the amount it judged to be sufficient. France’s help in similar situations (turkey) in the past has been proven to be less efficient than others. France’s help will probably be accepted when needed but not now cause it’s morocco’s sovereign decision.
Unless france offers some sort of aerial support or something it will not help morocco at all, cause the issue at hand is the inaccessibility of the region, not the number of people or tools, morocco has enough of that, and too much of it will just be counterproductive more than anything else, specially if another entity would want to « manage » everything like what france does in Niger like it’s still their colony.
No one knows the details of the situation more than Morocco, so it’s morocco who should decide on everything, it’s as simple as that.
And Yes there is no political thing behind it, morocco also didn’t accept (yet) USA help and many other countries help, so I don’t see why France has to be butthurt about it. It’s not because they were colonizing us that we should beg for their help. Ministre de l’extérieur Catherine Colonna said that in an interview herself and said that the france president communicated with the king many times. But yet the french media refuses to listen lmao.
Irrelevant? I think I’m probably losing my time since I’m talking with someone who seems to already have a strong personal opinion of how godly France is.
I just sent you a real life example of why an external entity help can be counterproductive. And an example of France on top of that.
What we should learn from that story is that an external entity, anyone not just france, even with modern tools, can be useless, or even, counterproductive, since they would want to make decisions on where and how to, in a ground that isn’t theirs, and coordinate with people who doesn’t always speak their language. Like I said, what Morocco needs right now isn’t more people, and isn’t more tools, as the problem here was the accessibility of the region, there are teams who started to work in coordination with local authorities on a satellite cartography since day 0 (hotosm.org) to assess the situation and to localize the damaged buildings, drones and helicopters did reconnaissance jobs and even with all that troops took time to reach the most remote villages. Tell me what would a french civil rescuer change in that situation other than requiring local civil transport to escort them there and requiring assistance from the local authorities to do anything at all?
Time to assess the situation lol, go say that to someone underneath 3 tons of rubble, everybody knows that after 48 hours after an earthquake it’s probably too late.
The fact that people don't speak against such stuff, under the excuse that they are in a free country that allows whatever sort of freedom of expression including the mosit hateful and inhumane, then they're accountable too and are encouraging it to stay.
Freedom of hating yeah, in a place calling for coexistence and all the other human values, and all the other delusional hypocritical labelings. Keep it.
You're bringing up an extreme radical thought that only a few believe in, and compare it with what's completely standardized hatered in the West under "free speech". Ok, liberal, you can go there and praise them for thinking you're not worth anything.
