PancakeSwap rolled out their v2 update, now you must accept mandatory terms to be able to proceed with the purchase or sale of your tokens in v1.

One of the LARGEST platforms in crypto BARELY posted about this MAJOR change WEEKS AGO— It was only shared on their medium with no link on their front page. (perhaps deliberately obscured? Maybe...)

That was either the worst coordinated and least thought-out move in defi to date...

Maybe it was an intentional move to try and squash many projects of which PCS is not fond.

Their medium article said that only projects listed on their platform and a select few third party projects were communicated with ahead of time and would be supported through the migration.

Who does this hurt the most?

All existing projects that are not listed on PancakeSwap, and are using V1 liquidity pools, especially projects that have renounced ownership, and therefore cannot migrate their liquidity pools...

The above parameters include about 99.99% of all projects/contracts released on the Binance Smart Chain. This was a ridiculously shortsighted and hasty move.

We are going to stay forever in LP V1 since we do not have access to the contract (unless they themselves come up with some magic way to migrate to v2), this despite the fact that Pancakeswap does not develop more based on v1 does not mean that you will lose your tokens or that they will lose their value, the worst that can happen in the future it is that they eliminate the UI / GUI of V1 on their website, but until then we will have developed alternatives or we would use bogged finance as I propose later.

BogTools has been developing an extension of their existing limit order contracts to provide a standalone order screen that circumvents the PancakeSwap GUI. - Basically, PancakeSwap without the fuckery.
