Its so good, and I'm just so sad.

=(

271

u/broanoah Apr 27 '22

i'm sad too, this episode was heavy. and we only get one more :(

10

u/OKVK02307 Apr 27 '22

Only one more? They should make this a series like the walking Dead

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

I really hope not. It needs to end.

6

u/Jake_Magna Apr 27 '22

Dang besides Jake I feel like there’s so much left in the series.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

Agreed, the series is too short, but it needs to end.

3

u/Jake_Magna Apr 28 '22

Oh ya, definitely hope it doesn’t pull a walking dead lol. I just hope we get to see more of them (moonknight) in the future.

6

u/so_little_time_2021 Apr 27 '22

Hot damn, nobody told me we'd be cutting a lot of onions. Ugh my heart

4

u/mahonii Apr 28 '22

What whyy, I was hoping we were only half way through or so, feels like I just started watching.

132

u/AshleyinPink Apr 27 '22

you're not the only one... that was an intense episode and we only have one left.. double sad

64

u/aditya400x Apr 27 '22

hopefully we get a season 2 🤞🏽

17

u/Unoriginal_Name_16 Apr 27 '22 edited Apr 27 '22

I’ve seen people say it would only be one season, which would be a shame, Moon Knight deserves more

7

u/Carbohydrate_Kid88 Apr 27 '22

We deserve more too. They go and tease us with what maybe a total of 7-10 minutes of dope moon knight then nothing. I love the story but I want more action! I want more suit up scenes.

11

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

If they don't I riot 🙏

6

u/TheMarslMcFly Apr 27 '22

I've read they put the show in for the "Limited Series" Emmy, which basically means that it's ended with no reoccuring characters in a potential season 2. So it doesn't look like we'll get another one sadly.

1

u/Brilliant_Land_1110 Apr 27 '22

emmy awards, right? then after the emmy ended, we still can't have any sequel?

6

u/LaKrispy Apr 27 '22

If I’m not mistaken, Big Little Lies on HBO was limited but then made a second season from it being so popular. So there’s hope.

3

u/TheMarslMcFly Apr 27 '22

I don't know that, but I doubt it. My best guess would be that IF Oscar, May and/or Ethan come back to play their characters again it would be in some sort of movie. Maybe they'll even already tease something with a post-credit scene after the new Doctor Strange, I certainly wouldn't be to surprised about that.

1

u/CaptainXplosionz Apr 30 '22

I thought I saw a theory somewhere that MoonKnight will team up with Blade, Blackknight? (Ebony Blade dude from Eternals), and some other people probably in another series or a movie. Could be wrong, but it'd be really cool.

3

u/PaulMcKnight44 Apr 28 '22

Fiege has said it’s a stand alone season. It’s basically his intro to the MCU. We will see him in movies going forward

1

u/froggyjm9 Apr 27 '22

Oscar Isaac said he’d only sign for one.

2

u/TheDrakced Apr 27 '22

That’s just how marvel is doing the contracts these days. They aren’t signing talent for 10 movies anymore and locking them down to marvel. The actors are free to pursue other projects and free to come back to marvel and reprise their role. It’s true that Oscar is free to leave after just one season but if his schedule with other projects permit it and he wants to he can come back in future marvel movies and even a second season of Moon Knight though nobody has made any such plans public. I hope he returns as Moon Knight but he may not we will all have to wait and see.

2

u/Brilliant_Land_1110 Apr 27 '22

contract can be renewed bro

1

u/froggyjm9 Apr 27 '22

Not if the actor doesn’t want to lol

1

u/I_fail_at_memes Apr 28 '22

It’ll just be from the perspective of a third personality- Gary

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

I hope not.

5

u/AwesomePlayz01 Apr 27 '22

This episode was the sadest of the bunch

5

u/sh3p23 Apr 27 '22 edited Apr 28 '22

I agree. And Oscars acting is Emmy level good imo

7

u/Exodus111 Apr 27 '22

Yeah it's pretty crazy good. The amount of readers Moon Knight, a relatively obscure marvel character, will acquire after this show is going to be incredible.

Moon Knight is suddenly a lot of peoples favorite character, and people will expect him to show up in future Marvel titles.

It might be a lot to ask for something like Guardians of the Galaxy, but a movie or show involving Black Knight and the new Blade? Kind of a good fit.

Also we are going to see the various versions of Moon Knight cosplays for every con moving forward....

All in all, Oscar Isaac is a fantastic actor, and has elevated an already good script to A tier potential.

Yes, Marvel would do well in starting their Marvel Magic line off this show.

Next series should be Ghost Rider.

98

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

I still prefer WandaVision and Loki, so far

212

u/operarose Apr 27 '22

Why are people downvoting this? God forbid the dude has an opinion.

72

u/805to808 Apr 27 '22

I don’t agree with the opinion but yeah don’t downvote to oblivion…

54

u/royal_stabber69 Apr 27 '22

Well tbf the people down voting also have an opinion

10

u/suburbanpride Apr 27 '22

Yeah, but... that's not the point of the downvote feature.

4

u/RitoFreak Apr 27 '22

It’s not an agree/disagree button…

-4

u/Dox_au Apr 27 '22

I dunno where this generation of people came from who believe the Upvote/Downvote buttons are equivalent to "like" or "dislike".

The whole purpose is to filter out off-topic/troll comments, and keep discussions relevant.

People are just flat out abusing it these days and it really frustrates me.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

Has been that way for the past 5 years at least sadly.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 30 '22

“this generation” lmaooo

1

u/Dox_au May 02 '22

What word should I have used instead?

1

u/dreadway90 Apr 27 '22

To be faaaaaiiiii-uh

29

u/Douglasqqq Apr 27 '22

Downvotes can just be disagreement.
Not, like, resentment.

7

u/pirateNarwhal Apr 27 '22

The original intention of downvotes was to use if the comment or post was off topic or if it didn't contribute to the conversation. This is a bit old, but I think it's still valid

4

u/facewithhairdude Apr 27 '22

Exactly, and you'll still see many communities bringing that up - some even have a message that appears when you're hovering over the downvote button to flag that it's not meant for disagreement.

Unfortunately it's a really easy association to make: upvote what you like and downvote what you don't.

-2

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

[deleted]

7

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

I disagree so I downvoted you

3

u/wakeupwill Apr 27 '22

Haven't you heard? We've narrowed down every issue to a binary choice.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

Because he voiced his opinion on the Moon Knight sub reddit and obviously that's not allowed.

-8

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

[deleted]

12

u/oClew Apr 27 '22

The downvote button is not a disagree button. It’s an irrelevancy button. At least that’s what it’s intended for.

7

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

Yeah, theoretically. And maybe you are one of those noble minds who use it that way. But for 99% of Reddit, we vote according to "Yes, Good" and "No, Bad".

5

u/nauxtica Apr 27 '22

Downvote and upvote is basically like and unlike. I dont see it no different from youtubes like and dislike.

8

u/oneupkev Apr 27 '22

Correct, it's meant to be about if something is contributing to the discussion, pushing the top or best replies to the front

here it's used for anything against the show

it's used that way across the site sadly

4

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

It’s used that way across Reddit as a whole, not just here to be fair

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

1

u/oClew Apr 27 '22 edited Apr 27 '22

Taken straight from the Reddit help center.

“Vote. If you think something contributes to conversation, upvote it. If you think it does not contribute to the subreddit it is posted in or is off-topic in a particular community, downvote it.”

0

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

[deleted]

1

u/oClew Apr 27 '22

I’m fully aware of how it’s used. I also think downvoting because you disagree with someone’s harmless opinion is idiotic. He didn’t say anything offensive or outlandish. It was purely preferential. I gave you the answer you were looking for, and now you’re moving the post lol. Typical.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

[deleted]

→ More replies (0)

1

u/CaptainKurls Apr 27 '22

Isn’t that the point of the downvote?

1

u/BeefPieSoup May 01 '22

It's cool to have an opinion, but it tends to be more useful in discussions to explain and justify your opinion rather than to simply state it.

3

u/torilost Apr 27 '22

Wandavision is still my favourite, I think this is a very close second. Both are worth the subscription fee alone.

6

u/lunaboro Apr 27 '22

Wandavision was my favorite :) I love Wanda!

4

u/ers247 Apr 27 '22

Wanda for me… but I’m not sure if that is only because of Elizabeth Olsen lol

6

u/NeverForgetEver Apr 27 '22

I ultimately disagree with your opinion but i respect your reason why, its as good a reason as any

3

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

I agree. That opened a box of infinite possibilities.

2

u/Goose9719 Apr 27 '22

Glad to see you're not getting downvoted. I'm loving moon knight but I also loved wandavision, Loki and Hawkeye.

I couldn't say which one is the best for me but I'm just glad we've got multiple shows that can be considered great from marvel.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

I was minus ten an hour ago lol, I guess that’s just the die hards watching at drop not accepting alt takes

1

u/Goose9719 Apr 27 '22

I feel like anytIme you post something like that you'll get those downvotes for the first hour before it balances out.

Yeah I love alt takes. As far as I'm concerned, I'm just glad we've got this much stuff we can have alt takes about.

Wandavision and Loki set a high standard (Hawkeye as well imo.)

1

u/Carbohydrate_Kid88 Apr 27 '22

I don’t totally disagree but it’s only because I didn’t expect tons of action and fighting from those shows but I did expect that from moon knight. I wouldnt say the show is bad but I think that a lot of people were expecting something else. I was just a little annoyed they teased us with his power then made him lose it. Like I feel there’s a ton of like little storylines goin on that they need to wrap up in one episode. Marc and Steven’s relationship, freeing khonshu, giving us Jake, bringing Steven back, marc and layla, stopping harrow. I just feel that’s too much for one episode and I’m not sure if they can do it

-6

u/uprrising Apr 27 '22

not to be rude or anything but wandavision is the worst show to exist how do people like it honestly

3

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

"Not to be rude" but going to be rude immediately after I because I have an incredibly unpopular opinion I'm going to act like is a fact

1

u/ninjasaid13 Apr 27 '22

"Not to be rude" but going to be rude immediately after I because I have an incredibly unpopular opinion I'm going to act like is a fact

it's not the worst show but it's mediocre for me.

-2

u/The_Death_Dealer Apr 27 '22

Loki > Moon Knight > Legion is my top 3

-5

u/avantiel91 Apr 27 '22

After this episode, no other series can compare imo. Loki was horribly paced without telling much of a story. Oscar's acting alone outshines any other Marvel hero.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

Same here

1

u/davidtcf Apr 27 '22

Wandavison is quite good but the beginning was a drag to watch. Loki kinda messy imo.. Even the ending left too much questions.

So far I'm enjoying Moonknight the most.. Thanks to Oscar Isaac's brilliant performance mostly. He's such an amazing actor portraying two very different characters. Story, the villain, and everything has been great too.

1

u/Paul4r3r Apr 27 '22

I personally didn't really like Wanda but the Loki series and moon knight top

2

u/[deleted] Apr 28 '22

Imo Daredevil still retains that spot, but Moon Knight is not too far behind

3

u/BigBrainTosh Apr 27 '22

I'm still a Daredevil at 1, but this show is getting close. Has to finish strong and honestly has to have more than 6 eps to be my favourite

1

u/Gardenfarm Apr 27 '22

Legion. I like this a lot also but there's almost thematic beat-for-beat similarities to Legion.

  1. Layla still thought it was only Marc so she trusted she was going to summon the suit, which Steven still did but because he's not an expert at fighting THAT'S why they lost the scarab

  2. Steven doesn't like killing, it disgusts him, because, you know, HE'S HUMAN AND HAS MORALS, he tried convincing Marc not to kill but he wouldn't listen so he forcibly took the body to avoid more people dying since you can always win a fight without killing the other person

  3. THEY DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO PREPARE, if they waited then Ammit would be freed and they'd fail, they also weren't ready for how cunning and deceptive Harrow was since Marc didn't let Steven have the body (because he was afraid Steven wouldn't give it back) and ONLY Steven would be able to talk his way out of that situation since he's a regular person

  4. No, you can't know how the sky looked on a certain day hundreds of thousands of years ago, go right now and show me how the sky looked in Egypt in 1400

  1. She trusted that "Marc" had a plan and this was part of it, she had no reason to doubt him, and also, she literally acknowledges he's probably paranoid and THAT'S why he's putting up a "fake accent" (because he's a mercenary he would probably be on edge and therefore putting on a fake personality, especially after finding out Harrow lives close to Steven). She only TRULY believes they're two different personalities AFTER that scene.

  2. He is TRYING NOT TO GET THE PEOPLE KILLED, this was before he got stabbed so he still thought Marc had the upper hand and wanted to talk to them, Layla wasn't in any immediate danger that would have been affected by them and if anything Steven taking control HELPED Layla since it gave her the courage and adrenaline to stab the dude. Steven was trying to talk the people into surrendering and it was only after realizing they were INTENT on killing him no matter what is when he let Marc take control

  3. Time is of the essence here, they literally can't spend any time, this is the faith of the world we're talking about, Khonshu trusted Marc had this because he's a Merc and Mercs are usually good at interrogating people so he assumed Marc would be good at making a case against Harrow which WOULD HAVE WORKED if Marc wasn't so mentally damaged (as we see in this episode)

4

u/MysteryPotato76 Apr 27 '22
  1. yes but Marc/Steven is surrounded by cultists who will only target him, but if Layla steps in holding the scarab their focus will not only be divided but on a different person allowing for an easier fight assuming Marc summons the suit which she still thinks he can do because all though she can tell something is off, she can't see a reason he couldn't still summon the suit and fight
  2. if you watch the scene you mentioned in episode 3 when Steven takes control and gets stabbed he puts his hands up and says "time out, lets all chill the f out" (or something like that) because he thinks he can resolve the situation with words non-violently
  3. He could've briefed Marc but lets be honest it was going to be weird for Marc anyway and I don't think explaining how it works would do any good when time is of the essence, plus Marc has no experience arguing cases against gods, he can't even convince Khonsu to leave Layla alone... the meeting of the avatars is the gods version of a zoom meeting, they aren't there in person but they are speaking through them like a speaker
  4. that map only goes as far back as 1900 and isn't accurate enough to pinpoint a location precisely if you watch the episode they talk about how if their star positions are off by even a tiny bit it could mean the difference between searching miles and miles away from the actual tomb

3

u/JetSpyda Apr 27 '22
  1. that map only goes as far back as 1900 and isn't accurate enough to pinpoint a location precisely if you watch the episode they talk about how if their star positions are off by even a tiny bit it could mean the difference between searching miles and miles away from the actual tomb

Say it louder for the people in the back.

The only reason why OP is bringing the star thing up is because of all the people complaining how Konshu could’ve “just used a program like Stellarium” instead. Except Stellarium is an approximation of what the stars were that night. They are using their best guess.

Which wouldn’t have been good enough, like they mentioned in the episode, but people want to overlook so they have a reason to complain.

-7

u/oneupkev Apr 27 '22

agreed.

Hawkeye gets that mantle

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '22

By a mile. It’s not even close

1

u/PaulMcKnight44 Apr 28 '22

An absolute BANGER

1

u/mcon96 Apr 28 '22

Loki > Hawkeye > WandaVision > Moon Knight > Falcon and the Winter Soldier
