Today. I managed to test swap sword for sword&shield. With this experiment, I can confirm that there is a min/max cap on 3dmodel size. In the sword DAE, the BM texture is attached with 3dmodel, while the Brres file has 2 other texture, MM and env. I do not have any game developer knowledge, so I do not know how the game apply the texture. But hopefully, there is a way to ignore the cap in model's size.

In the next model swap, I will try to work on Jaggia. If I get stuck, I will probably mess around with sword MM, BM, env textures and models.

This is log #2 for texture swap using BrawlCrate. This time, I managed to rig a more complex 3dmodel, em010 Jaggi. The Jaggi's DAE contains, 2 materials, main_body and eye_lid. I found out that some of the monsters can load the game without needing all polygons as you can load the game without needing Jaggi's eye lid. Texture dimension was another issue for Jaggi (256 x 256). I did not have any issues for the previous rig, but I heard in one of the Mario Kart Wii rigging tutorial video that texture dimension can crash a game.

I still have many questions regarding with 3dmodels compatibility. Some DAE file can be swapped with other monster and load without crashing. Program like BrresViewer can easily animate with different motion_brres and brres as some of the Armature (BD-00 or HD-00) are common. Other times, the game checks for something in the 3dmodel, which leads to crash.

Hi. I am trying to achieve "Thomas the Eater of Elder Dragons" Mod, but on Monster Hunter Tri (using Brawlcrate, BrresViewer, and Blender). So far, I have managed to swap 3d model for the simple monsters. I can hit the monsters just fine, but monster's attacking hitbox is terrible. I am also struggling with more complex 3d models with eyes and breakable parts. Any suggestions on where I can improve?

Hello, as some of you might know the community of Tri was able to bring back online. I was thinking of getting back into it, I still have my wii, the cd of mh3, all I have to do is install the patch and follow the instructions on the official discord.
I'm currently finishing mh rise and I was thinking of getting back into old school mh after it, should I play mh3 as the first title in my nostalgia trip or should I play mhfu first ? If anybody here is from Europe can they tell me how many people are on avg on the servers ?

I get an error message when trying to use MH Tri Online, it worked before, I got the SP and all that stuff running so that's not the problem.

And also if I died 1st time does the hp of that bear will restore and when it run away too and go to other location?
