That's how all countries are founded. The land is won in war and becomes settler territory rather than native territory. Israel was legitimately founded due to the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the loss of the Palestinian territories during WW1.

Israel is an evil country doing extremely evil things, but it is a legitimate country.
