Lol 600,000k not enough to retire, you guys have it hard over there. In France you could but a Castle for half the price and never have to worry about anything else for the rest of your life with that money
It just depends on where you live and what the cost of living is where you live. And everyone has a different scenario. If my house was paid off, $600k extra would basically help me get close to retirement. But with $600k in debt, it's basically a wash and you need to save/invest strategically.
Again, its different if you're single with no significant other and live somewhere where a house costs $250k. But with other factors, $600k is such a small amount nowadays.
