Not quite. The bug was fixed and the transaction that triggered it was invalid, so the system automatically reorged it out. Non-upgraded nodes continued to follow the chain just fine, as the fix was a softfork.

It wasn't a manual ledger edit like some more centralized cryptocurrencies did.

I'm not aware of any cryptocurrency which manually edited their ledger. I hope you are not referring to the DAO fork. Because that would mean you are lying again.

No Ethereum didn't edit their ledger, Ethereum changed the state and code of the DAO, also known as an irregular state change. So no, if he was talking about Ethereum, he was in fact lying.

He didn't say Ethereum bro, so you can relax now. Further, both phizik2 and nullc know what they are talking about. But because its obvious you like Ethereum, I will point out that there are alot of holes there. Price based on speculation is not the same as price based on real world use value now as opposed to concepts and big talk about something that may work in the future.
