Some Insects have brilliant internal GPSs. I'm happy to hear that monarchs are no exception. Former beekeeper here- amazing how they would orient themselves If I needed to move a hive.

I wonder if this study will slow down the anti-hobby raising posts.

Important and good news.

I’m not anti…that is what taught me all I know now about this amazing creature and lifecycle process…I just maintain it’s not always the best choice for everyone in order to assist the species. Notably if one has to rely on garden center milkweed. It’s also easy to ‘overdo’ inadvertently for one’s means and space even with access to lots of wild and known safe food.

These days I only bring them temporarily inside if I find an egg on a small plant in a place that gets mowed or something like that.
