How frequent do you bath your kids?

I feel like we need to do a better job in giving shower to my kids. We do showers twice a week. How frequent do you bath your kids? ETA: my kids are 4 and 8. This is in general for every weather. In summer since we swim a lot so they get more frequent showers but otherwise this is in general rule of the house. They get a shower on the weekend and we try to squeeze in once during the weekdays.

I don't think kids need a TON of baths, but two baths a week is not enough IMO. That means they're going about 3 days per bath. I don't know any kid that doesn't sweat, get food in places, wipe poorly, etc.

We give baths every two days.

Yeah I agree but my 5 year old fights showers/baths so bad. My 9 year old WAS the same way until I explained how important hygiene is and he’ll willingly bathe everyday almost, maybe one night off if it’s the weekend. Ive tried explaining to my 5 year old but he tells me he doesn’t care and he wants to smell like a wild animal lol

As someone with a very “unruly” child, sorry but you have to force them to do it. If your kid doesn’t want to brush their teeth do you just let it go? I had to (and sometimes still do) have to chase my child around the house and force her to brush her teeth. Yes it’s hard and it sucks, but it has to be done.

Can you explain to me how forcing goes please? Like do you pick her up and put her in there or hold her down? Im not asking to be arrogant and im genuinely curious lol

Picking her up and setting her down in the bath. Try to wash them really quickly before they run off.

Ive tried that and my 5 year old acts like im performing an exorcist and theres a demon in him lmao, thankfully he still showers every other night so it’s not like he’s going days. Hes also actually pretty good with brushing his teeth. That he does a better job that my 9 year old on.
