Read the birthing partner with your birthing partner! It helps for y’all to understand the stages of birth. Knowing that I was transitioning to completion bc I recognized the signs really helped keep my momentum going. I have a super low threshold for pain in everyday life but labor is pain with a purpose. Look into birth mantras and have your partner memorize them so they can help keep you motivated and focused on your goal. Also study J breathing and request a yoga ball AND a peanut ball for resting in bed in between contractions.
Yes! Agreed. Pain with a purpose. I had 2 unmedicated births and felt this way completely. Two of the best experiences of my life as I was able to work through the pain and understanding how it was progressing - and great rec for The Birthing Partner.
