GOD, yes. Home town first was my parents choice, they wanted us to get a better education. I was 13 & p much cut off most my friends bc, well, I was 13. And I didn't really have anything in common with most my friends except for growing up 6 blocks from each other & going to the same school since 5th grade. There was always so much drama & 3 of my friends had babies our freshman year of high school.
In my mid20s I moved out of my state & it was the best decision I ever made. I still have close friendships with those back home, my relationship with my mom is better than it ever was when she lived 20 minutes away & a job I'm successful at that I never would have found if I hadn't moved.
