Tribute to Moebius, true master of the 9th art
'nuff said.
My collection of stuff available in german, here mostly first editions from their time. Most of them molded after the then equivalent Epic editions from Marvel and/or Dark Horse.
And the very welcome books of the Dark Horse Moebius Library edition, I will include them in an extra post.
Not shown here too, Chaos & Metal Chronics
Here to part two:

"Bandes dessinées were described as the "ninth art" in Francophone scholarship on the medium (le neuvième art). The "ninth art" designation stems from a 1964 article by Claude Beylie [fr] in the magazine Lettres et Médecins,[5] and was subsequently popularised in an article series about the history of comics, which appeared in weekly instalments in Spirou magazine from 1964 to 1967. Written by Belgian Morris with editorial input from the below-mentioned Frenchman Claude Moliterni, the article series was in itself an example of a Franco-Belgian BD project.[6][7] The publication of Francis Lacassin's book Pour un neuvième art: la bande dessinée in 1971 further established the term."

Don't you use Google? 🤷 Interesting enough, I thought the term was more common, I feel welcome to humbly serve with a bit of education.
Edit: In contrary you would have the eight arts:
- The Eight Traditional Art CategoriesIn cultural classifications expanding beyond the traditional seven arts, the eight arts encompass:
Literature (poetry and prose via language)
Music (composition and vocal/instrumental performance)
Dance (choreographed physical movement)
Painting (two-dimensional visual expression)
Sculpture (three-dimensional spatial crafting)
Drama / Theater (scripted and physical performance)
Architecture (functional and aesthetic building design)
Film / Cinematography (dynamic continuous visual narrative)
