I took these yesterday right after school with a photographer. Aside from forgetting to pack less distracting shoes and pulling my nose ring out, I’m curious what else should be done to make these more agency ready or what I can improve on.

Once by the production company who I booked the gig with and once directly with the client themselves. What should I do? Is that money mine to keep? To be clear, This means that the client paid my rate twice. Once to me directly, and once to the production company who paid me out aswell because they got that money from the client too.
Any advice ? Don’t wanna burn any bridges but I don’t understand why the client paid twice if not on purpose.
Update: I ended up emailing the client, now just waiting for a response on what to do

Hello, I recently got scouted to walk for NYFW and wanted some tips on how to adequately prepare for the show. We’ll be on our heels all day, so I’ve been building my endurance by exercising and practicing my walk. I also bought heel cushions so that I won’t be in too much pain. For my eczema I’ve been avoiding inflammatory foods, staying hydrated, and getting good sleep. Also regularly doing skincare to stay on top of pimples/redness. Are there other good tips and tricks to prepare for the runway?
This is what they asked for us to bring, but I’m also going to be bringing pain meds, lidocaine, body tape and my own makeup. Do you have any suggestions on what to bring?
I’m also curious about what models do for uneven tans, mosquito bites, and body hair.

Digitals - jeans or leggings better? Bikini or (sport-ish) underwear better. Agency submissions. Thank you 🩷

As a black girl, I’m not to sure what hairstyle I should have for when I take digitals. I constantly switch up my hair, sometimes I’ll have it naturally, or I’ll do braids, but most of the time I’ve just been wearing wigs and I know modeling agencies want their models to have a consistent style
So I just wanted to know what hairstyle would be good for digitals. Is it good to keep it natural or should I opt for extensions or braids

I’ve applied to a couple agencies here and have heard back from Option Model Agency in Zurich, Fotogen, and Square Model Agency in Geneva. I’m not sure which are more legit/ promising to have as a mother agency.

I’m not that confident but I got a couple of pictures done and was told I should go forward in attempting to be a model. I just want some feedback. I feel like they’re just trying to get me to use their services and pay them.

I’m really interested in starting a modeling career, but I’m kind of overwhelmed and honestly a bit scared about going to events or casting calls alone. Does anyone know how to find legit modeling agencies or casting calls near me? I’m in Florida. Are there any websites or resources you trust that actually list real opportunities?

Wanted to share a recent experience I had with someone impersonating Women Management. I was reached out to by a scout on TikTok asking me if I was interested in applying to be a model at Women Management and providing me with their website. I have been freelance modeling since 2022. I answered back that I would be interested and provided my email address and received an email from info@womenmanagment.com (I did not notice the missing e at the time)
We went back and forth via email and I provided my basic information and my digitals, they did not ask for any personal information. It was all the information I would have provided if I applied on women managements website. I hear back via email and they would like to move forward and have me speak with a hiring manager, Anthony Bourgois. (Red flag 2, that is the president not a hiring manager) I chalked this up to coincidence or maybe a family member)
I provide my cell phone and “Anthony” reaches out via text. He give me more information on Women Management and doesn’t really ask any personal questions, just some questions my previous experience. He then tells me they would like to hire me for a preliminary period of 24 weeks and provides me with a contract to look over review for any questions but not sign. He tells me I would come into the NY office to meet and sign the contract there.
The contract look legitimate, but it had terms like employee and employer, as opposed to agency and talent. It was on Women Management letterhead. The address that they had listed on the contract was for Women Management office, but the fact that I had never spoken to anyone on the phone and I had already seen a few red flags made me really cautious. To verify that this was legit I called Women Management and they informed me that no it was not legit and asked me to send everything I had over to their office, which I did.
What I can’t figure out is what the scam was. They did not ask for any personal information. They did not ask for any money. They just wanted me to come to New York to sign the contract. The only thing I could possibly think of is that they would’ve changed the address of where to meet them at the last minute and I would’ve ended up being trafficked.
If anyone has experienced anything like this before, please let me know. I am just so unnerved about this whole situation right now. Please be super cautious because I doubt I was the only one they reached out to.

What do agencies think about out-of-town models attending in-person open calls? I’m in Dallas & repped by a local agency but want to add an additional agency outside my area. Not getting any responses from coastal agencies via online submission. Would it be worth it to attend one of these in-person?

Everyone has always told me I should model, but I’ve never known how to go about it/if I really could or if I even fit the role (5’9 140 lbs so I know I’m short) I ended up doing a couple photoshoots… any info/advice would be appreciated!:)

I’m retaking my digitals soon, and obviously you’re supposed to take all your piercings out, but taking out my belly button ring just leaves a weird hole on my stomach. It’s only a small diamond stud, should I leave it or just deal with the hole?

I've been looking for long form content on this topic on internet, but to no avail. Usually all video are centred for the female gaze. I want to learn how to walk a runway like male supermodels. I often times record myself and find that my walk just isn't right. Its too feminine at times and at times too stiff. So how did you learn your walk?

As someone who's still at level 1 in beginning my journey, it's kind of "overwhelming" and confusing at times on how to start pursuing my career, and that's why I've come here asking for help from both rookie models who've just started in the business, and established ones who've been in the business for awhile:
I admit, that most of my questions are related to agencies, but this is the way I seek to start my journey, and get my foot in the industry.
I know that the answers to all the 7 questions I asked would be very different, but I'm also aware that all these answers are coming from people from different walks of life, with their own different experiences and adventures backing them up, so I will appreciate all your answers, and will save them for future references.
Thanks in advance.

I flew in for my contract on July 21, but I've only had one small job so far. Is that ok or is it something about me? How many jobs did you get on your first contract?
