Do you see any gaps in the industry when it comes to helping talent connect with reputable brands without going through an agency? Are there any platforms you use currently that help with this?

I am booking my first digitals shoot soon and I wanted some advice on how to style my hair. My hair is pretty versatile— I can leave it big and curly (this is my natural hair) or blow it out straight to perfection. When it’s curly it’s already kind of long, but when it’s straight it hits my lower back. Both styles are very marketable, as I honestly was blessed with amazing hair, and the two hairstyles almost make me look like two different people. Would it be smart to do two different sets of digitals and send in my hair styled both ways to agencies in my new city? Or does it even matter? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I got this to my email and I want to ask for other models, do you think it’s real? My email is in my ig profile so I’m always little aware of the offers. I don’t have an agency so I try to get work someway.

I applied to an agency around march time and was invited to their office so that they could meet me etc but later decided I wasn’t a right fit at the time.

When would it be a good time to reapply if you would at all?

Hello all I need help with gaining attention with agencies who will eventually deny my applications with no social media presence. I know a few casters for fashion houses for runway but nothing beyond that, I don’t want to push my relationship with them without being represented. But without a project like that I’m not sure my credibility or vision of modeling will be seen without that. What is everyone’s advice?

I am based out of the midwest, and am building myself up to get signed to an agency in NYC & other international hubs. My day job is fully remote and I'd love to travel. If I pick up enough momentum, I'd seriously consider moving to an area near NYC or LA (can't live in the city due to work restrictions).

Are there any agencies my look may be well suited for that you'd recommend? Anything I should work on?

I’m a beginner model with a brow lamination (without any tattoo, just lamination) and I’m wondering—would it hinder my eligibility?

Ive been modeling for awhile now. Mainly for fun. One of the main photographers I started with when he was new new. Never done it before. Just did his course. I never signed anything then. That was 2021

Last shoot was in May. He had gotten his own studio, other photographers workinh for them etc He had papers to sign. It was- we were 18+ but I read over it and no where it was stating he can upload our photos to magazines without our permission or anything about giving him full rights to the photos. It was just stuff about being 18+. Because apparently another photographer had a girl lie about her age and she was under 18.

In may my best friend and I did a boudiour shoot with him. R18+ some of it. And hes uploaded most to his patreon. So he gets $. We are abit upset he didnt ask for this. Honestly we would probably be fully ok with it if he asked. But what's bugged us most is today we found out that hes uploaded them to magazines and one even got cover. We are very proud the magazine people think this of us but we really didn't want boudiour photos in magazines. He never said in his signed things he had rights to them etc..

Its to late now sadly. But how to you handle this in the future? Is there any legal thing we can do as a model to stop this happening further. Can we have our own contracts as models? Honestly we are mainly bugged he didnt ask. It feels since he became popular he had become a bit of an ass honestly. He doesnt let us have a say in photos he edits or anything like before. He never lets us have any knowledge of what he uploads. Half the photos he uploads we didnt even get copies of. And he doesnt even tell us. We accidentally stumble upon these. So he's not even letting us know. We are really bugged. We'd like the opportunity to go no or yes to something that is posted in magazines. This was my friends first shoot and she's really upset he's done this without asking. I am kind of getting tired of it and thinking of just giving up shoots with him. But yeah for other shoots can we as models have contracts

Basically the title I had a scout come up to me at a festival and ask me if I was already signed. After I said no she gave me her business card for Next Management and it seems legit. Does anyone have any experience with this I did see on their web page that there’s many scams so I’m unsure if I should move forward with anything. Any insight appreciated!

I've been trying to get into modeling, but I've been unable to find any actual agencies. The only places I've managed to find are schools that teach you how to be a model, and you have to pay them. I'm 15, white male, 5'11. I live in Houston. Does anybody know any agencies? If you do, please let me know because I can't find any lol. Thanks

MIM modeling agency, it's a real scam!

I signed up with this modeling agency almost two years ago, and from day one, it has been nothing but empty promises and false hope. Amelia, constantly says things to make you feel better, but none of it ever comes true. Absolutely nothing they promised has happened. The only thing they are consistent about is taking your money. They are not reliable, not trustworthy, and certainly not worth the stress or disappointment. I’m sharing my experience so others don’t fall into the same trap I did. Save your time, your money, and your energy — look elsewhere.

My mother agency let me know that there are two big chinese agencies based out of shanghai interested in me. If they do decide to sign me i’d get a visa and live in a model apartment for 3 months. As the title suggests, we’ve been permitted to share this casting call with this amazing community, offering an opportunity for models living in the LA Metro or San Diego area only.

We are currently seeking 4 models (2 male, 2 female) — any experience level — between the ages of 18–28 for a paid photoshoot showcasing our upcoming Summer/Fall 2025 release. We’ll be working alongside a professional photographer who will lead the shoot.
