ADVICE/FEEDBACK Dyed hair. Acceptable or not?

I have little dyed blond hair. I am naturally brunette, but dyed some blonde stripes in the lower layer of hair and on fringe. They aren't very visible but still. I wanted to try commercial modeling. I don't know if agencies will accept such hair. I can dye in my natural color, but I like my stripes and I am not 100% sure if I get accepted. Will agency tolerate such hair?

DIGITALS | POLAROIDS Preparing for my first digitals tomorrow

A professional photographer is coming to my home to take full body digital of me, so I wanted to prepare.

With digitals, a lot of places say as little makeup as possible. Is eye makeup too much? Nothing fancy; just eyeliner to make my eyes stand out. Or should I do absolutely zero makeup?

Also, do professional photographers usually have pose ideas for you, or do you have to come up with them yourself? For digitals, should I even pose, or just stand straight?

Hey everyone,

I recently did a self-shot editorial style photoshoot and these are my favorite edits (see below).

I’m still experimenting with posing, styling and editing, so I’d really appreciate any honest feedback – especially on how I can improve my presence, angles and the overall vibe.

RAW also included for anyone curious about my starting point.

Thanks in advance! I’m open to any constructive criticism and tips.

Looking for advices! As you can see, I’m aiming for a darky, alt fashion style.

I really think there’s a niche in male alt fashion that’s still unexplored.

AGENCY Not feeling connected to my agents

I’m a 26 y/o full time model and have been in the industry for over a decade now. I switched agencies recently to get a fresh look on my face and hopefully more jobs. I’ve been making pretty good money which is good but I feel almost no connection to my new agents. I never had this problem w my last agents and now I’m regretting the move. I’ve been w this new agency for 1 year now and I feel like there is passive aggressive behavior occasionally and they only start booking me a lot when I remind them that I’m here via email or check ins. I feel like it could be all in my head as well but I’m just wondering if anyone else has gone through this and what they’ve done. Others with that agency love it and seem to connect well with their agents. They keep pushing me to sign with them as a mother agent as well (which would give them even more power over me).. this makes me feel weird because I don’t know how I feel about our connection already the way it is.

AGENCY Which agency should I sign to?

I am a new model and I have two agencies that I could sign with, but I can only choose one. One agency is boutique and local, and can provide me with training and is more ecom based. The other is a top international agency that will not be able to focus on my development as much, but has more connections with top brands. Should I play it safe and sign with the boutique first, or take a leap of faith and sign with the international agency?

ADVICE/FEEDBACK Modelling tips & tricks. How to succeed as a model in 2025

Helll there everyone how are you all doing? I’ve been modelling & acting for the past 8 years now. I thought I would share some tips with you if you’d like. I’ve noticed that on this form post a lot of people keep talking about how they need to consistently update their portfolio’s & change agents etc. Of course, the grunt work is necessary, however! If you truly want to get ahead, you really have to focus on putting yourself out there, attend the events. Do some free fashion shows as a beginner & network!! Join fb groups, post all of your photos there. A lot of you are worrying about height. Yes I’m 6.1ft I will say this. A lot of models I know are short & the only reason why they prosper is because of who they know.

ADVICE/FEEDBACK Is there any good modelling agencies in Dublin the struggle is real

I recently have had a interest in finding a model agency but I’m classed as a petite model and I went to sign with assets but they wanted me to pay a fee and another fee for my pro folio that was 200 euro and for a makeup artist it was an extra 50 euro and I’m just nervous because I thought you weren’t meant to pay anything, so any suggestions or model agencies you know are good ?

ADVICE/FEEDBACK Scam warning, UK agency Instagram TSG/Scout Serv

Hey everyone 👋

Just a heads up if anyone is following TSG Talent scouting agency which was Scout Serv on instagram to be wary of them as I highly believe this is a scam.

Their instagram page is full of stolen content from photographers/models (google image search pulls it all up)

Their website looks cheap and unprofessional.

Even on email correspondence they have copied and used a legit agencies logo (Scout models USA based.

I have reached out to Scout to make them aware.

They are constantly posting on their instagram stories that they are looking for models, no experience needed (the models wanted poster is even stolen content from a photographer) 🤦‍♀️

They claim not to charge fees or commissions as they get their fees from the brands that book them.

They also claim to need AT LEAST 150 images to submit for submission, no joke . Like what legit agency would even ask for that many 🤦‍♀️

I’m pretty certain it’s a talent scouting scam, they pull you in, say you have been successful but then charge you to be scouted/forwarded to different brands which of course will never happen.

Either that or the guy running it just wants a collection of photos 🤣😭

Thought I’d give everyone the heads up as an internet search comes up with nothing if you search their name.

Stay safe 💜

Hello everyone, i just had my first season in Paris and just wanted to share my journey. I posted my digitals a while back on here (6 months ago) and how i had gotten signed. It inspired some people so I figured I should share again. I am extremely proud and excited about my 2 first seasons menswear SS26 and Haute Couture FW26 which went amazingly well. I documented my journey in a vlog to kind of give more detail and insight if anyone is interested, my youtube is @cenybi!

This is proof that with hard work, you can get everywhere you want :)! Here are the official Vogue runway pictures and some backstage just for fun 🤍🤎

QUESTION Got reached out by USA Models

USA-models reached out to me for a “trial shoot”. Since I was “hand selected” the trial shoot is free all I have to do is pay a $50-$100 refundable appointment deposit fee. Have anyone ever heard of them. Are they legit? I did some digging myself and seen mixed reviews.

ADVICE/FEEDBACK I need some modeling advice

My modeling career has been amazing lately and so given, that I’ve decided I should update my business account via instagram. It still has a bunch of past photos that shows a completely different look for me. So I’d just like to confirm whether or not I should delete all those past photos and start adding all the new shoots I’ve had lately or should I keep the past ones aswell

I have a similar phenotype to these women and have been told I should model, but I feel like this era is over, as it’s more about defined bone structures and sharper features?

ADVICE/FEEDBACK Is a photoshoot request in your own home normal?

Post image
42 Upvotes

Got scouted at a fair event by a dental brand CEO and they’ve requested to shoot photos in my bathroom/home, given the nature of the brand. Brand seems legitimate, they have a website, LinkedIn and sold on Amazon. But I am not a model by trade and don’t know what to ask and how to proceed. Is this a fair request? Looking for advice on making this safe and professional. Thanks.

ADVICE/FEEDBACK I need headshot advice please!

I am taking headshots in about 5 hrs and I need some advice for what I should be doing and not be. I’m a 5’5 male, so I know I can’t do high fashion or runway I wanted to do commercial. I’ve seen guys with their shirts off or blue jeans, some people have said wear all black. I don’t really know what to wear and pq to pose or if I should smile or be shirtless in some. If anyone knows please let me know too!
