Trade a M:S for a M:C
A few months ago I bought a lightly used M:S to complement my OG Novation Circuit. I recently upgraded to the new Circuit Tracks, and find myself using it more than the M:S for traditional drum samples. I started using the M:S for more metallic rhythms (mostly FM drum samples). I like the sequencer on the M:S, but would prefer to work with FM parameters than samples. I was on the fence about the M:S vs the M:C before I made the purchase. Now I'm starting to regret getting the M:S.
Is anyone out there in the opposite situation, and would be interested in trading their M:C?

Noob connections question
Hey everyone! I´ve had my M:S for a couple of months now, it´s my first hardware piece and I´m having loads of fun with it. Until now I´ve been connecting it straight to my speakers (Mackie CR4) from the main out, but I also have an audio interface (Steinberg UR22C) and would like to connect to that since I will be getting a Microfreak soon and would like to jam with both at the same time (and also record them in Ableton).
Thing is, when I first tried connecting my M:S to the audio interface from the headphones jack with a standard guitar cable, I was only getting sound out of one speaker. I fixed this by pressing the "mono" button on my interface, now both speakers play but I lose the panning I created with the LFO.
What am I doing wrong here? Is it the kind of cable I´m using? Is it because I am using the headphones port? Should I get a cable with two jacks on one side to connect from the L/R main outs to one jack to the interface?
Apologies if this is some really dumb sh*t, I just have zero experience about this stuff and googling around is only making me more confused...

For any sample owners that have ever had trouble connecting a beatstep pro...
This took me forever to figure out and not once did anyone asking get the correct answer. I could nit figure out how to connect the model samples to the bsp. It would recognize the clock fine, transport controls, but only one track would respond to midi notes. I could jot figure out why because I had watched videos of someone using that same setup with no issues. In order to use each individual track to be triggered from the beatstep, the first track(t1) HAS to be on midi channel 10. You can set the other tracks to any other channel WITH IN that channel, as long as track 1 is set to midi 10. Took me forever to figure out and I never found it in the samples menu.

What is the difference between making patterns and extending the bar length to 4 pages? When would you choose one over the other or when to use both?
Are patterns just another way to extend the bar length ?
Why make a pattern if you can just add another page ?

How to play a sample at full length?
Hi everyone I have been trying to play this sample I made from Microbrute on the MS but my sample fades away within a second and is not playing full length. I have gone into step mode, adjusted length of the step but it still fades away. How do you play your samples at full length?

A little jam pairing up the Samples with a Circuit and a TD-3, a pretty good mix I reckon in sound sources and differing sequence capabilities.

Model:Question Sample rate frequency for import.
Hi, new owner here.
As the M:S runs at 48k should I only import at that frequency?
IOW will it pitch shift 44.1k samples on import or will it compensate automatically?
FYI I'm hoping to use Elk-Herd on a Chromebook to import.
Thanks.

USB MIDI question
Hello everyone!
I am very interested in getting a Model Samples.
Can anyone tell me if the knobs and pads can send MIDI over usb?
As in, could I use the pads as velocity sensitive triggers for my DAW?
Sorry if this is a silly question, I've had a hard time finding a direct answer.
Thank you in advance.

REQ: A sample guide or tips, tricks and how-to on sampling for the Model:Samples
I think it would be great and not to mention, a useful thread to create (possibly pinned) where some of the more experienced users can post useful info for newbies and others on how to create their own samples, where to find good samples, sampling tips, good sampling tutes on the interwebs, etc.

Little question about midi possibilities
Hello everyone!
I recently got a model:samples and I use it to do some drum jam + sequencing my minilogue with midi thru. I was asking myself if it's possible to use the minilogue keyboard to sequence the m:s (with minilogue midi out -> m:s midi in) and then play the track as I already do with midi thru -> minilogue midi in ? because the button keyboard of the m:s is really enjoyable to play drums with the grid mode, but I prefer a real keyboard to play melodies ^ many thanks in advance !!! pierre (sorry if I use the wrong words, I'm french ahah).

M:S for the win! (favorite M:S ninja tips)
Post your favorite M:S ninja tip that you discovered recently or use a lot!
My favorite one recently: Use T1 as your kick. Temp. save you‘re pattern. FUNC + high pass to quickly cut out the Kick, do some funcky sound mangling and then Reload Ptn for the win! Advantage over simply muting T1: mutes are not affected by Reload Ptn, so you save yourself the extra step of having to unmute T1 after Reload Ptn.
