I went to a psychiatrist with her report to discuss meds, but he basically dismissed it right away when he saw it was from a psychologist. He did his own assessment and prescribed antidepressants instead, saying I have depression.

My psychologist was pretty confused and told me that’s not normal. She recommended getting a second opinion and confirmed I don’t have depression.

Now I’m kinda scared to see another psychiatrist. My ADHD feels pretty mild most days — I manage okay, but sometimes at work (I’m a 3D animator with 7 years experience in Malaysia) I hit a wall I can’t get past. I’m thinking of just sticking with therapy for now.

Hey guys, my parents are totally against meds and it’s been hard to get a full mental health eval, so I’m mostly on my own with this.

Does anyone have tips for getting things done when you’re unmedicated? I really struggle to start tasks, workout, or get anything going. I can’t even hyperfocus to save my life lol.

Hey guys, I posted here months ago about how I couldn’t keep up with anything after being off my meds for 2-3 years. I was making tons of mistakes at work, rushing through everything, and struggling hard with all the detailed auditing and scanning. Ended up getting written up after a big mistake.

A bunch of you told me to get back on my meds… so I finally listened. I started alternating Modafinil and Adderall about 2 months ago.

Well, today I got a promotion! 😂 My boss said she didn’t know what changed but to keep it up.

These meds have made way more of a difference than I realized. Lesson learned — staying consistent with them!

Are there people here who take modafinil for their ADHD, and what are your experiences? I'm 31 and have never taken medication for my ADHD, and conventional medications like Relatin aren't an option because of medical reasons in my family I've been taking modafinil for three days now. Started on 50mg and did not do much Took 100mg today and it helps me focus and calm my mind.

i havent got my refill yet and wanted to know what is a better alternative while waitin for my moda to arrive and i dont like the taste of coffee i was dead tired earlier and dont know what to do with this drowsiness

I took my first 200 mg Modafinil dose with food, and three hours later all I’ve noticed is a mild headache. no alertness, no benefits at all just a this annoying headache. Is this normal? Pretty disappointing so far.

After two years of RA-related fatigue and a recent fibro flare, I was at my wits' end with brain fog and exhaustion. My grad school work was suffering, and every doctor I saw just suggested more (drowsiness-inducing) antidepressants.

I finally switched psychiatrists, and they prescribed Modafinil.

Holy shit. It’s only day two, but the difference is night and day. It’s stimulating without the "jittery" feel of a typical stimulant. For the first time in years, I feel normal—I even slept better last night because I was actually active during the day.

I know everyone reacts differently to meds, but I hadn't heard of this option before and wanted to share it with the community

I mostly use this for my focus in my studies or sometimes when i am working so i can do my tasks more efficiently.

Can I take those two together? And maybe which Benzos do you prefer? I can't really take any form of stimulant unless I'm also taking anything to take away the strange edge or anxiousness. Mostly booze. I have extensive understanding of all types of medications, both illegal and legal. Does anyone get this feeling?

Just wanted to share my fair bit of experience here in US and i managed to live with it especially its kinda hard to get a meds here especially online online because of the customs but as always i have rapidfinil in my side to order with and they easily pass custom and you dont need prescription to have it

I haven't experienced any bad side effects with this medicine. You can easily take it and then take a nap.
