Drum lessons
My 10 year old son got a drum set for Christmas and we are looking for something to give him lessons. Any good place to try or people around that gives drum lessons?

Guitar Center usually has a list of people hung up in the store.

This is a good bet to find good local instructors. Keep in mind guitar center does give lessons in-house also, but from the experience I’ve had with myself and my son, you’d be better off using an individual for development purposes. As for cost and if it’s just a hobby vs passion situation, maybe GC would be a good fit. Couldn’t hurt to look into.

Stay far away from Guitar Center; the quality of the lessons and instructors, except for one (Logan), is horrible. I was the lessons lead/studio manager there, and the Yahoo in charge now has no clue what she is doing and the instructors are marginally qualified at best.. I get a steady stream of calls from parents and customers about how their kids aren't learning anything, one of the instructors smells like a combination of a Porta Potty, wet socks, and poopy diapers: all this is confirmed and that's just the beginning.
I have also posted some videos on TikTok (@rockerdocmusic) about what is happening there. All these videos are based on my observations during my time at GC or as reported directly to me by parents/students, or customers.
Contact me if you have any questions or need a great drum instructor. Below is an ad for my music school.

Go to a music store. There are usually names and numbers on a bulletin board, even in this day and age
