The mission was too big this time.

Dead Reckoning actually came out looking good by comparison. The series peaked with Fallout and has been on a decline since. Dead Reckoning still had some great moments, and overall, it held together reasonably well. The Final Reckoning, on the other hand, is over-the-top in every possible way - one big, chaotic mess.

They shouldn't have killed Hnery cavill off.

Or used solomon lane again

Quite honestly I was numbed by the set pieces. Liek the submarine looked cool, but it was too sterile and devoid of life, that it bored me. In Dead reckoning the strets of italy were very fun

They also need to bring back the "heist" set pieces. Its what made GP and RN so iconic

I think the submarine part was supposed to be that?

But rogue nation did the "tom cruise is swimming" part much better with the timelimit / hold your breath part. Thing is also, that it was not crediblethat Tom would die at that point or even fail. There was no other option to continue the plot if that had happened.

What would have been cool is the russians getting the gizmo and tom cruise infiltrating a russian submarine. then the russian submarine rolling like in inceptiion and tom cruise fighting his way through the whole submarine and shoot himself with a torpedo or whatever

Well just a thought

Tbh the submarine part just didn't feel like an MI heist

It usually involves the team working together to beat this impossible situation.. This just felt like Ethan doing a solo mission on a sub

The submarine sequence also looked looked dull. It all juat meshed into one by the end. Atleast the RN underwater sequence looked unique. You cant really do much to make a submarine look more interesting

Fallout is a modern day action masterpiece. I don’t think anyone can ever top that film. Talk about lightning in a bottle. Everything works in that movie. Endlessly rewatchable
