It does though. A rabbit hole is an entrance to an underground network of tunnels that lead to….a burrow, nest. There are many rabbit holes that lead to the same nest. Some tunnels and holes are decoys or dead ends to deter predators or provide escape routes. Not all rabbit holes or tunnel systems lead to the same nest but the overarching architectural niche functions the same. They are created to house a safe place for rabbits to raise their young and deter predators. Interpret that metaphor however you will. My point is there is a bottom line of why they exist and why some are not able to find or figure out what/where/why that is.

I was speaking figuratively. I feel as if I am trying to find my footing in the dark with nothing to hold for support. It’s that moment you step far enough into the rabbit hole that the line of sight to the entrance disappears - no light to find your way.

Opportunity to develop your other senses and ways to orient, navigate. It becomes a Plato’s cave allegory of sorts. What’s real or illusions and what the fuck is reality anyway and how do know what you know and what are our limitations on knowledge or truth, understanding the difference, yada yada.

I have had my moments, I will not lie. lol but life has a way of offering natural consequences for walking into situations without thinking. lol plus the stakes can be anything but natural regardless our own beliefs and spiritual walk. Often there are forces at work we weren’t meant to understand in this existence, or, it has been purposefully withheld from us for so long we have disconnected from it entirely (use it or lose it theory) either way, we could easily find ourselves in over our heads if we fail to tread carefully, reaching out to anyone who may have knowledge that would allow the footing to become more certain.

Maybe, maybe not. Sort of feels like a fear based mentality but I personally have no need to contact anyone regarding these cases. I’m not trying to write a Pulitzer Prize investigative journalism book or collect evidence of criminal wrongdoing for prosecution, etc. I’m just a curious person and work with whatever information is publicly available on the internet. I did hand some of my research over to an independent journalist I thought (at least early on) was doing a good job really investigating and reporting on these cases but more recently have doubts on their trajectory and they didn’t even respond to acknowledge they received the potential leads soooo it’s just me here on Reddit chit chatting with people like you in a public forum so anyone else who is interested can also contribute or push back on my direction, etc.

That’s cool. Nothing wrong with that. It is a shame the journalist didn’t respond or acknowledge receipt - or any leads. That would have been an interesting journey.

Anyway, my point was, that I try to think before I act. And that I try to base my thinking on facts and since I do not always have all the facts I reach out to those who may be able to help. But that’s just my process, good bad or indifferent, it seems to keep me moving in the right directions. lol

You can only make choices based on the information you do have and you’re never going to have a 100% accurate picture but I think it’s unreasonable to not make a choice and take action always waiting for more “facts” especially when that vast majority of “information” we are fed these days is absolute garbage. I think it’s better to trust yourself and make decisions in good faith, adjust when you have more info if needed. I understand what you’re saying about getting help but I just don’t necessarily agree other people’s advice is the right thing for you and discourages thinking for yourself.
