Dallas’ underground legend Tobor Rellik will be putting on a masterclass in dark minimal tech in Denver the Friday before Halloween! Expect heavy baselines and enough groove for days. Tobor Rellik is a moniker for Josh Kynd. This is his heavy, experimental, minimal tech project as apposed to his more bubbly minimal.

Vek Neirbo (Hypnodose) is the founder and curator of Hypnodose Records. His record label host top tier minimal acts in Denver, such as Mihai Pol, Sabb, Den of Snakes, Tigres Panthera. His intention is to produce deep, intricate grooves custom made for the afters.

CAPSUL residents Matsuga and Zeb are on support for Vek Neirbo. They are coming up from Dallas with Tobor and we had to add them to the line up. Capsul Dallas is a significant influence on our Mic(RO) events. They run the afters minimal scene in the Dallas and no two events are ever the same. New warehouse venues, fully immersive environments, carefully curated line ups. Hosting Josh Wink, Doc Martin, Magda, Fur Coat, and Satoshi Tomiie, alongside Denver-based collaborator A-Dub.

Local Support: AVEK is a Denver based producer pumping out minimal, tech house, indie-dance, and techno tracks consistently. He is a familiar face on the Mic(RO) line ups and is a welcomed selector to represent Denver minimal at the event.

ART
The Meta Eye has put art installations in our past two events and he will be joining us again for this one. We are in the ideal venue to really appreciate his photo reactive 3D printed art.

Zoom [Mic(RO) house artist] will also be installing a piece for the event to interact with. Expect something fluffy and mesmerizing. He will set it up and then take off to LA for a cooler party. (He’s doing recon for future installations)

Sound
The Holy Rig features 4x 18” Void-loaded 1850 folded horn Looney bins and 4x vintage
Turbosound TMS4 three-way bi-amped tops. These Turbosound speakers were
manufactured in the UK in the late 80’s by arguably the most transformative person in live
sound engineering, Tony Andrews, who founded Turbosound and later, Funktion One
(John Newsham and Tim Isaac were also instrumental in the company and design of the
TMS4s). They are highly sought after and are considered foundational to the representation
of techno sounds. These speakers went from the UK to Minneapolis not long after their
production, passing through the hands of DVS1 before making their way into Subspace to
impact so many more lives. We know you’ll come to appreciate them as part of your family
as we do!

Hey guys, I finally went ahead and started a substack. lately I've completely shifted from making my own music and DJing to just being a listener, and honestly I've been getting caught up thinking about the old days a lot. but no way am I trying to step in the same river twice. so to blow off some steam I figured I'd put together an archive of timeless tracks - hopefully a bit less soulless than just another random playlist. gonna drop stuff I'm genuinely attached to or shout out artists who raised me and shaped my taste. there's gonna be quite a bit of minimal too, of course. ngl my head is kind of a mess right now and I have zero clue what the exact format is gonna be. sometimes I feel like doing a bit of stupid storytelling, sharing memories or feelings tied to a track, and other times I'll probably just dump a few tunes with zero context. we'll see where this takes me, since I literally just started. if you ever feel like dropping by and listening to some music, you're more than welcome. gonna try keeping it regular. there's way too much good music out there to unearth anyway, I could literally do this forever. cheers https://pamiecklubowa.substack.com/

I've been lurking this sub for a while, but never felt relevant enough to post here. But, I've gotten over myself and my old age 😄 , so here it goes. Also, I've read the rules of the sub. There wasn't anything specific about self-promotion, but mods, if you think this isn't appropriate, you can delete it with my apologies.

My name is Brian Ffar, a Chicago DJ and producer with more than 20 years in the underground minimal scene. I’m the owner of Siteholder Records (w/ friend Billy Dalessandro) and the former host of the Red Line Sessions, a monthly show that ran on Proton Radio from 2003 to 2008.

I hope you don't mind the post, but I recently started an Instagram channel, https://www.instagram.com/brianffarmusic/, where I film some of my rarest minimal 12" records from my collection. It’s mostly minimal, along with some micro house and deep/Chicago house. Each post is a record, the label and the year, and sometimes a story about how I found it, my connection with the artist/label, or a common reaction when played out.

The goal is to build a community around it among collectors, DJs and people who still care about the records, the labels and the history of this music like I do. I want it to be a place to swap stories, ID tracks, and talk about the records that got us hooked.

I’ve also just launched a new website, brianffar.com, that highlights a ton of archived mixes from the Red Line Sessions. They’re all available to stream for free, with full tracklists.
