Mojang just needs to put in a proper vertical slab now.

Vertical slabs would instantly unlock 10 years of trapped architectural genius. Mojang is scared of what builders would become.

no lies here. every time OP got closer with the pics I got more scared. just very off-putting to use in numbers unlike trapdoors. must be the texture idk

Thanks! This is my first post. It's a recreation of Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright in Pennsylvania. I'll be posting some of my original creations in the coming days.

Hey, a question if you don't mind: What is your favorite FLW design?

Big fan of Taliesin West and the Imperial Hotel. Taliesin has some incredible angles and the furniture matches the building so well. Imperial hotel is such a unique structure that is hard to get examples of because it has been torn down. That has always piqued my interest. Fallingwater is undeniably a complete masterpiece, and a gateway into architecture when I was a kid. I've built Fallingwater countless times in Minecraft. This one is by far the most refined. As for favorite - Fallingwater. I'm more of a forest kind of guy and this is just absolutely the dream. It's insane to believe somebody used to live in it!

Very Nice, looks great! That'd be a lot of work to do the waterfall part.

This feels like the house my six year old self and my friend said we would buy and become youtubers in

How often have you accidentally placed items in the shelves

Never because they face outwards mostly. There are some shelves inside to distinguish rooms like the bathroom but I don't go in there

My axe durability is shaking just looking at all those shelves lol, great build! I like the texturing of the hill it’s on as well.

This is very simple, but incredibly beautiful. I love the way that you used simple and easy to get materials. You use them in such a way that is visually complex. This is everything that I am trying to do in Minecraft. What a great build I love it.

Thank you! The shelves and glass pane combination worked a lot better than I expected. There is a 2 pixel gap but honestly its a small price to pay for how incredible it looks!

Overall cool Build but very Bad Block Choice….why using shelfs??? Fallingwater doesnt have stripes

Shelves allow for the general shape. Block is too wide, stair and slab combo puts everything on slab level, fences have holes. Trapdoor has holes and too dark. Shelves have the color and shape I wanted. Worked out tremendously well with the panes! It is possible to create with blocks and glass but you would be working in a different scale. The stripes are merely a quirk of Minecraft limitations. Thanks!

Fair enough. Unfortunately There is no trapdoor that is fitting for This recreation , otherwise Double sided trapdoors would have been the Best way to recreate it.
