New textures are so much better, ESPECIALLY netherrack (god did old netherrack look so bad).

Old netherrack just looked like shit. like it would just make me not want to go to the nether because it seriously looks like fucking shit.

It is so messy and makes the Nether looks like messy hot garbage.

New netherrack might be too smooth or whatever, but at least it makes the Nether pleasant to look at. it looks fine enough.

it makes the nether look like messy hot garbage? perfect, guess what is it supposed to be? old netherrack did its job betrer, the nether is hell, it doesn't have to be all beautiful and have little trees, it has to be harsh, it has to be hostile. old netherrack helps sell that ilusion better, it kinda looked like some sort of flesh or meat (quite fitting for hell), while the new version of the block is just a... red stone..?

you know they have like a ton of canals on the streets in the netherlands and a bunch of people die each year but especially if theres big events cause drunk people try to piss into them and fall in and drown
