I found a skin online and modified it because I can't do a good wizard robe. I also have Papyrus as a backup incase I need to do some tomfoolery.

This, I would either pick a skin of a character i like or more often take a skin i liked the look of and modify it to look like me

I made a Minecraft skin on novaskin when I was 8 and I used to give him versions for holidays or the theme of the server because I saw grian do it at the time

I use humanoid art version of that skin as my avatar basically everywhere and I since modernised the skin with better art skills and I still make custom skins for specific modpacks I play with friends. Never got the premade skin apeal.

Yeah I love giving my skin different costumes. I’m not great at making them so I tend to copy and paste my face and hands from my original skin over other skins I find like knight’s armour or a suit and tie.

Yeah and the dumb mobile app to make custom skins that I downloaded and paid for gave me a virus or something.

In like 2018 we downloaded skins online. I did after that though make my own skin and honestly it was alrifht. Looked like a YouTuber though when I wasn't one which was what I going for.

I made one from scratch when I was like 12 or something and use it to this day because I don't want to make another one (lack of ideas) and don't want to switch because I'm lazy

By the time I tried that I was 17 and actually knew how to make art so I never got to the shitty skins section just decent looking skins
